The IVT automatic transmission actually doesnt have "gear" ratios (even if indicated so) - these are just step up/down modes for the CVT system to hold on to.

Thanks! Glad you liked the content. On Sports and Comfort mode there is no lag, on Eco mode there is a very minor lag, but in most cases you will not notice it.

2 Tarika hai iska, pehla to hai Sports mode use karke. Sports mode me pickup kafi jyada rehta hai so automatic ke slow pickup waali problem nahi hoti. Dusra tarika hai paddle shifters use karne ka. Paddles use karke aap puri gaadi ko manual ki tarah chala sakte ho. Creta me paddle shifters bhi hain aur Sports mode bhi hai, saari automatic gaadiyon me nahi hota hai lekin.

One can stop in any mode. Modes are there to decide how a car is driven..either performance centric(Sports) or mileage centric(Eco). You can pull the Electric break in same situations as would do in manual car. But as this car comes with creep and autohold one would seldome use them for hill start or hill driving. For other situations one can use park mode which acts similar as electric break. Only diff between park mode and electric break is that park mode needs to be manually shifted to D for driving, but Electric break is automatically disanged once you hit accelator.

How to go from paddle shift mode to drive mode?

Bro what's is the difference in eco, comfort and sports mode??

Hey bro, Eco mode optimises your car for mileage by limiting the throttle response. Sports mode optimises for performance and punch but with a lower mileage. Comfort is the balance between two. Use Sports mode if you need quick acceleration and zippy response from the engine, use Eco for mileage and Comfort if you don't need any of the extremes.

Hi sir Should i put on the electric parking brake first and change the lever from D to P or vice versa? Coz if the car is in D mode and put the epb and change it to P, when it comes to R on the way , Epb is getting disengaged. Whats the correct way to do?

How reliable is the gearbox bro? I'm exchanging my Mt for this ivt for my parents and hyd bumper to bumper driving.. is it a worthy decision? Is there any lag?

lag is barely perceptible. gearbox is well tuned and I haven't heard any complaints so far

Thanks, glad you liked it. There is no requirement to increase/ decrease acceleration while using paddles, but as soon as you use paddles you will have to increase or decrease the throttle to maintain your speed like you do in a manual transmission. Changing from Drive to Sports mode while driving is fine and does not have any major impact if you do it occassionally.

No as soon as u will press ebrake it will slow down to halt. But if u press accelerator the ebrake will disengage automatically nd car will drive.

No, it is not harmful. Paddle shifters once engaged automatically move it to S mode. You can see the drive symbol change to S from D

It won't stall, that is the beauty. It also has auto hold function and hill descent control which automatically prevents the car from sliding on slopes.

Of course it has gears internally but not visible to user as in a manual car. To increase speed, you just press on the accelerator and the automatic drivetrain does the rest. Think of it as an Activa, you don't see the gear (like you see in a motorcycle).

Yes, in automatic vehicle there is always a minimal rpm. So, as soon as you put it in drive mode and remove brakes, it will start crawling. I have shown this in the video also.

Isliye to Creta IVT best hai. Manual gears bhi hain sports mode me, paddle shifters bhi hain. Jise manual ki feel chahiye uske liye bhi pura arrangement hai is gaadi me. Video dekhiye, maine dikhaya hai kaise manual ki tarah chala sakte hain

Sorry that you didn't like the video. For the paddle shifters, I will try to cover in future videos. Hand brake is same as in any other car. In this particular model, Hyundai has offered an electronic hand brake. I have demoed it in Creta Awesome Features video, if you want to check it out.
