Hello
Welcome to The Creative Cove. My name is Michele and I am the creator behind this channel.
Todays video is the second instalment of a tree series. Today we are exploring the Weeping Willow Tree and the Birch tree.
I hope you enjoy and sketch along with me. I hope this video gives you tips and tricks on how to improve you sketching skills as well as inspires you to create drawings and art work weather it’s for your journals or to frame on your wall.
Happy Crafting!

I've been enjoying sketching again, thanks to you. I lost my son a couple of years ago. Since then, life hasn't had much joy in it. So, thank you for this bit of joy in my life again. I would like to learn to draw a mimosa tree if possible.
YEEAAAAHHH..!!! 😂😂😂
So excited to see your next in the TREE series. Thanks so much for all your wonderful drawings. To say I love your style of teaching doesn’t come close to how much I appreciate the hidden artist you have inspired in me and others 🤭♥️🙏

Oh that makes me so happy 😀. Thank you 🙏
You have really captured the form of the weeping willow. We often have weeping willows as shade trees for animals. Cattle eat the leaves and so these willows get perfect bobs. Arohanui from me in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Thank you. 😊 That’s interesting. Here in Ontario I really ever see a willow tree in a cow field. Cheers to New Zealand big Māori All Blacks fan 🏉
😍😍
Great lesson. Thank you. (FYI: The multi trunk birch is called a River Birch).

I watched your video on your artwork you sell. I didn't know you sold such beautiful things!!! It was just by luck I found that video. I know you are humble about your drawing. But you must at least mention it in all your videos so we all know!!! Believe me,....everyone wants to KNOW it's available!!! Your farm Animas with flowers is so gorgeous and so unique!! It needs to be advertised to us so we can buy some. I'm excited my tree drawings came out so good. But your art is way more complicated, and it's way over my skills. So I sure want to buy some!! Now that I know. Just add a short sample of a few at beginning of every video! And mention a link in description and add link into all your video descriptions. Trust me,...everyone wants to know!!! Thank you again for your great teaching videos! TFS Austin TX USA

Lol true. I do doodle a lot. 😊
Great tips that apply to all tree-drawings...here in the UK i have a huge silver birch tree in the garden and its branches are almost horizontal but the twigs and leaves cascade down like a willow - so best of both sketches! Thanks.

Thank you so very much. I’ll have a new procreate video coming soon 😊
Could we do the trees like they have in Louisiana that have Spanish moss in them? Oh my goodness, they’re so beautiful!!! Also, a wisteria would be beautiful.

Willow trees are magical places. Just the place to play house under and I loved it, but then I became a teenager, fell out of the tree when I was trimming old branches out and landed, wedged between the tree and dad's truck, breaking my tailbone on the bumper. I was stuck fast and yelled until my little sister came out of the house to pull me out. smile! Despite it all, I still loved that tree and was so sad when mom decided to have it cut down. Curious, how did you develop your drawing technique?

I love being under them as well. Kind of a magical place. I developed my style simply over time. Developed what worked for me. I have always had a lose approach to drawing and slowly developing my detailing skills.

@@thecreativecove6898 I was trying to draw some trees that I saw outside. some of the branches were extremely long and coming towards me. I had no idea how to capture that in my drawing. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
