Rob Marzullo, THANK YOU so much for your glorious collection of tutorials. David Finch mentioned you in his last live stream that he was impressed at the fact that you've uploaded more than 700+ tutorials. Drawing comic book style was my hobby/passion since I was a kid growing up in the mid-to late '90s. I even won a drawing contest on GamePro. I drew Ryu from Street Fighter. I have a natural ability to copy what I see, but my biggest problem was the proportions and me drawing was extremely time consuming. Thanks to you and David Finch, I am much better at it. Your amazing book, "How to Draw Action Heroes" is what started it all over for me again, after 20+ years of not drawing. Thank you for your amazing content.

Thank you very much for the nice comment! I am always blown away when David takes the time to mention my work. David is one of my all time favorite artists out there and he is so humble and helpful to others. Just a genuinely good person! Glad to hear you are getting back to your art. I struggle in those same areas. We just have to keep pressing forward and experiment with a variety of techniques. For me, simplifying the style saves a ton of time. It's not always the look I'm after but I can generally push out the work much faster. I'm not saying that is the answer for you but rather, keep exploring ideas and you will eventually get faster over time. I'm honored to know that we can help you improve! Keep up the hard work and more comic art videos are on the way! :)

wow Robert... i've seen some of your videos, and were REALLY boring... but your newest videos are really good!! You are good explaining the basics, and also good at showing and drawing :) So, keep it up!! Your voice and your tone had a great improvement!! Old videos are boring cuz your tone is... idk, like a professor who makes you sleep everytime they explain x'D But as i said, good video bro!! Keep it up, i'll be watching all your videos :D

I will try to keep improving in that area. It's tough for me because naturally I am a bit monotone. I need to show my excitement through my voice. Funny thing is I have always been a very animated person ( behavioral wise ). Something about educational content just seems more relaxed for me but I don't want it to bore the students either. I just have to find my balance. Thank you for your comment and for sticking around! :)

When I drew with my right hand, it was almost intuitive for me. After the injury, drawing with my left hand, my intuitiveness disappeared.I used to be able to draw all this with one line the first time.I still can't write, only draw with my left hand I write doodles.

Thanks for another great tutorial rob. If I may ask, could you do a tutorial on removing detail at scale particularly with faces and heads in general I’m struggling when drawing characters at a smaller scale and the faces not looking muddy but trying to draw to much detail.

@@RobertMarzullo I just like your work very much and I have been waiting for a long time when you make perspectives in terms of simple forms and I saw I was happy but you have 2 3 examples in the example and I would like more details and some chips. I generally have problems with the perspective of figures and I'm looking for ways to convey more dynamic. Could you make the next video about poses more precisely how to draw poses so that everyone can repeat them looking at the photo under your example

Do you take requests by any chance? This is helpful in trying to do a 3/4 view kind of front pose but what I'm after is foreshortening a full front pose where both arms are similar to the bent one here. The difference is that the fist is drawn to the side rather than the front as one hand is holding a gun with the barrel pointed to the side. Much like this: 🔫 O o V I V
