Only tutorial that is understandable and easy to follow❤

Thank you so much. I learned this in my drafting class in 1984 but I forgot some things over the years. This is a great refresher course. The old saying rings true, "If you don't use it, you lose it." 🙂

Great tutorial and great explanation too. I have thought of another route using a 360° protractor... Once again... Excellent...

You get the major but how would you do it with a specified minor axis?
What is the easiest way to draw ellipsi in art. I'm having a hard time free handing it. Are there shapes I can use to help me.
Thank you! Just what I was looking for.😊

That's not a true section elipse. It would not have a circular radius on each end. The angle is continuously changing.
thanks 🌼
Thanks
What pencil are you using?

It's a 0.5 mm Mechanical Pencil
Where will we consider the focus of that ellipse??🤔

The construction is very well done but it's not an ellipse. They aren't constructed with arcs of a circle which have constant curvature. The curvature of an ellipse is constantly changing

Yes, this is a basic construction demonstrating how an ellipse can be drawn

@@YudisArtPlate but mathematically what you have drawn is not a true ellipse but an approximation of one. The true construction of an accurate ellipse cannot be done with compass and straight edge. It can however be easily done with a string and 2 pins, you guys should look it up.

An ellipse has two ¿¿curvatures?? Quote In an ellipse with major axis 2a and minor axis 2b, the vertices on the major axis have the smallest radius of curvature of any points, R = b2a; and the vertices on the minor axis have the largest radius of curvature of any points, R = a2b. Ellipse has more than two curvatures. The curvature is constantly and smoothly changing as you travel along the curve.

@@YudisArtPlateit’s an oval curve not an ellipse.
I liked your video. Just one suggestion: since you use - clearly pronounced - English in your explanations, you should remember that this language is written left to right, so when you use a subscript to name a point, you should write A1 instead of A2. Best of luck to you 😊

Thank you for your suggestion Claude 😊
Why would you call an object that clearly CANNOT be an ellipse at all a "perfect ellipse"?
