@@DrawlikeaSir the way i start my drawing is to make a blank body in the correct angle then change its pose and then work on the details Is it worse than the method you showed? For details i divide the body into 6 segments both arms, both legs, head and torso/middle body I struggle to fit everything in the desired angle and often make the body disproportionate And it's very hard to make the eyes, nose, mouth and forehead+hair fit in a small face any tips?(except making the face bigger)

Your tutorial is probably one of the reason that keep me drawing and learning! Your voice aren't too monotone and your tutorial is also easy to understand, making it easy to keep up!
I've never been good at drawing anything, but I wanted to do something creative since I've recently had some more free time and this was the first video I turned to. The video helps a lot, thanks! Your channel seems very beginner friendly, and I like that.
thank you so much- ive had no motivation to draw lately and poses make things so much more difficult and ive been drawing for most of my life, im mostly self taught but this is one of the most helpful videos ive watched yet!! while watching i was drawing and i actually got a few harder poses that ive been having trouble with cause of the perspective!! this has changed so much- like im usually really bad with anatomy and poses but this video has actually help with that alot- so thank you so much for making this, all of the other videos ive seen are really hard to follow along!! your an amazing artist and im so happy i found your channel!! thanks again!!

4:57 - I sometimes used to do smaller drawings. This helps with complicated drawings if you don't have a clear view of the overall picture. But rather than do that, I just started doing very, VERY light sketchs, and oval multiple lines of a drawing to size it all up and in, until I can determine where the strongest lines go, as I find the shape of the line with my pencil before the ink in. How people fix this usually in programs is they select an area and resize it or make it smaller (As I've seen you and Stanley lau (Artgerm) and other professional artist do.)

Hi
A little tip for everyone who reads this : when you're doing a rough sketch, upper body = face x 2 , thigh = face x 2, shin = face x 2, foot = face/2. This will give you 7 1/2 porpotion of body. Don't count pelvis in the first step to make it easier, because it can be counted with thighs

@@donalgrump69yrsago9 okay my bad 😅: shin is same length as the thighs, which are same length as the upper body which is as twice as the length of the face. Feet being half of the face. This all gives 7 and a half of the face (standard body length)
I started watching your videos since around April of 2021 and i gotta say thanks. You were one of the artist who really kick-started my art journey and taught me the basics of art. I went from drawing like a toddler trying to redraw what i see from reference to drawing the figure in all sorts of poses with anatomical precision from memory. Its because of you i have progressed farther than i ever thought i'd be so once again. Thanks!
As I watch, try, and iterate, I can clearly see that I am improving. This video is the best mentor I've ever seen
Dude, it’s like I’m getting a lesson from a spunky Arnold Schwarzenegger. This is excellent! Thank you so much! I’ve always been okay at drawing, but it was a nightmare getting the pose. Erasing...starting over again and again...A thumbnail sketch has totally changed the game for me. Thank you! May you have a successful artistic career doing what you love. This was great!👍 God Bless you!
Convenient. I'm trying to draw a little girl pulling her friend along happily, while he tries to pull away, and have problems trying to angle the second arm. Liked how the boots turned out though.
Thanks for actually teaching me instead of saying "just draw a circle and... boom moba lisa" its really helpful especially when you mention that needing a reference is okay too many people give up on art because they think using a reference is for noobs and its not nothing wrong with getting help
It's amazing how a person can draw so beautifully! Thank you for your hard work! It's really incredible!
TYSM! I have been struggling with this for a while now and never found a video that actually taught me, most art videos just show you don’t tell you what you need to achieve the goal
I've also found that drawing lines of actions make poses way more dynamic. Foreshortening is also a useful tool to learn. I would definitely recommend them along with all the advice given here.
Hi, just for you to know that I started drawing only a few months ago after years telling myself that I wasn't made for it. I have some attention issues and I've been trying to learn multiple of times in my life but I always ended up giving up because I wasn't able to keep focused. BUT since I discovered your channel, I have been feeling much more motivated ! Your methods are really clear for me and they reassured me a LOT because many tutorials are quite scary, even those made for beginners lmao. So I wanted to thank you for all those useful tutorials, they played a big part in my learning process and kept me truly motivated !! I feel that I progress so much everytime I watch one of your vids, so again : thank you very, very much for sharing your knowledge ♥
Loving these tutorials!!! It really helps give me the confidence to draw.
Thank you SO SO MUCH!! You don't understand, how this helped me!! whenever i just see a pose and sketch it out like in this video, it comes out SO EXTEMELY GOOD!! THANK YOUU!! 😄😄

Ive never had a tutorial that worked this well, thanks
Thank you for this. Thumbnailing is something I definitely don’t do enough of. Also it’s nice to finally hear you tube artists pushing back against this weird notion about reference. I don’t know when it started but there’s this pernicious belief that’s crept into the wider art community that you can only draw from imagination in order to be a “good” artist. I’ve seen it in comments all over in many different art forums and it’s just weird and wrong. Good artists use reference. Professional artists use reference. Even Kim Jung Gi uses reference (though I suspect most people only know him from his art demonstrations where he draws from imagination though there’s a lot more going on there than people realise).
Yes pls make a full detailed video on imagined poses. Like this comment as a proof that we want it
