So here i am stuck at home...I decided to bring my old hobby back to life,i used to draw alot as a kid but last 3-4 years not at all.I bought Faber castell 9000 pencils and everything else i need online,waiting for them to come and to start drawing again.Your channel is really great for learning drawing skills,i like it alot and keep going!

Please do a video on how to shade eye bugs, too...I am a self taught charcoal artist using brush and charcoal powder.. there are times that I feel very discouraged that after spending almost a day on a painting, the end results are sometimes not perfect.. but after watching your videos, I realized that shading the face can be done with pencil and tissue paper and it seems you’re doing it effortlessly...I didn’t know about graphite pencils and their numbers, until I watched your videos...My world just revolved around charcoal powder and brush..

Really really nice one Emmy. As usual, I always go home with something when I watch your videos. Graphite is great but I started using charcoal for my realistic drawings and I would really love to see a charcoal tutorial from you.

Thank you so much! I have used charcoal before because I love how dark it is.. but I don't really like that chalky feeling (same with pastels) it's also messy and I can't get that detailed with it. So I do prefer graphite. And to get the darkest values I can't get with graphite I just use a black colored pencil

@@emmykalia Yes I agree. I ran away from charcoal because of that 'chalkiness' but i rekindled my love when I started using charcoal powder instead. But I you're right graphite is always the way to for defined details. Please keep making these videos. Lol

Hi Emmy. I like your drawings. I was wondering since you are using A4 size for both papers (reference photo and drawing paper). How can you use guidelines to sketch if you were using an A3 size drawing paper while a reference photo is A4?
