    Very practical and useful information as always. I typically carry at 4 but I think most of this still applies.

    Great info as usual. I learned to use both hands for clearing the holster access: right hand behind the gun and left in front. I had the least number of instances with fabric getting stuck with 2 handed technique.

    Agreed on 4 o’clock, only problem I have at 4 is the butt of the pistol smacks or pushes on hard backed chairs. 4 for general carry and concealment, 3 for around the house or maybe a restaurant.

    I 💯 agree. I found 3 o’clock with a t-shirt it prints much more plus the muzzle canter depending on the holster would send a round straight down ur leg to the ankle in the case it of an accidental discharge. Much better in the 4 o’clock position. Way more comfortable. Prints less and the barrel is oriented more towards your buttcheek / ground behind you

    Maybe you can extend this video with just reholstering cause it's the one thing that often gets too little attention and where most holster use injuries happen. Timing, checking, index, steps to not looking later on.

    I'm an old IWB carry guy. Isn't a 4 O'Clock position better because of less "printing"? of your handgun? Thnx.

    Same. I pretty much only carry at 3 at the range when it's open carry anyway. For concealed I just slide it back to 4 and it virtually disappears.

    Same here for the same reasons. Pushing the gun back just a little bit more in a holster with a FBI cant makes it disappear for me.

    I have no issues with printing at 3 o’clock. Personally I’m not moving my firearm behind me making it easier for someone to come up from behind and surprise me grabbing it should it print when I move or even be exposed and I’m unaware.

    I noticed you don’t respond to questions or comments so this question is more for the other commenters here. I noticed when he is reholstering, he’s looking down at the holster. How important is it to keep your eyes on target and do the reholstering by feel?

  • @RJWdevelopment

    @RJWdevelopment

    @@jayroller7054 Don't know if you've already gotten this answer elsewhere, but basically it depends on the circumstances. In "tactical" style training, they usually train you to keep an eye on the target, but also that's more often with larger, outside the waistband, "duty" holsters. In "competition" style training, safety is more important than tactics, especially in a situation where you are required to wear a concealment garment, like in IDPA. When you compete in IDPA, they even tell you specifically - it doesn't matter if YOU feel comfortable doing something unsafe, because you have to make everyone else feel safe, too. And reholstering your gun is the #1 most likely time to cause a negligent discharge, particularly when clothing gets in the way. So they'll tell you to look down, and take it extra slow when you reholster.

    Is there really a difference between drawing the P365xl which has a thin grip to a Glock 26 with a thick grip in a stressed situation?

    Is there a reason (other than concealibility) for carrying IWB rather than OWB when carrying at 3 o'clock? The draw is so much faster and sure and if you have to wear a cover garment anyway, why carry IWB? I carry OWB when I carry a full size handgun and have for 35 years without an issue.
