I can't believe I just watched a video on someone dumping sh*t. And I loved every minute of it. Great show mate.
You should do more such tutorial videos! They're really helpful to new RV owners and in my case overland traveller! :)

I'll second that suggestion!
Much appreciated from a new guy who is yet to buy his first RV. (Currently researching, shopping, and learning from videos like this.)

hows it going now?
I miss these types of videos from you. Lots of RV newbies out there right now and it's nice to hear from seasoned pros like you on procedures, etc
Thanks, these type of videos are very helpful for us hopeful RVers
Thank you Eric!! That was one of the best tutorial on emptying the tanks I have seen.
Great tip on the Angel Soft TP. It also works well for septic tanks and isn't priced like it is made out of gold flakes. Great demonstration video.
I don't even plan on getting an RV so why did I watch this entire video? I love it

Because RV videos are intriguing
I have to agree, I really have no issue with dumping the tanks, no big deal. After a couple of years fulltime on the road, we have not had any problems with our tanks at all. Even in the previous 20+ years of RVing no issues. Keep up the good work!
This guy is good! He is clear and concise with his explanation juxtaposed to the video he shoots. I look forward to seeing more of his videos
This was the BEST, most helpful "how-to" video for dumping the tanks that I've ever seen. Thank you!
This is why, no matter what some people say, you've got the best show. Straight to the point informed advice and tutorial. Great job!
THANK YOU!!!! after seeing my black tank 2/3 full for the last 8 months... no mater what I did when I emptied it... I bought that wand you mentioned in this video.... used it for the first time today... and success!!! I now have an official empty black tank... yippy!!! Thanks and keep enjoying the PNW... I'll be a volunteer for the summer in Cannon Beach Or... can't wait!!
Eric, Your first video on dumping the tanks was good, this one though is as close to perfect as an RV HOWTO video can get. It's awesome to see how far you've come with the quality of your videos over the years!
For TP all you need is "Septic system safe".
Wow, that was a really professionally made vid. It's like watching a tutorial vid from an RV manufacturer.

+hopee changee You should see him empty a litter box!
The only thing I can add is when pulling the valve handle, make sure you pull it straight out. #2 once the valve handle is out, once a month I'll spray WD40 on the metal stem to keep it free-moving. When I have two people as a couple, the other person can be inside and running some water as a extra flush.
I've been a backpacker, hiker, fly fisherman, for years. Now I have kids and it's time to take them camping. We have been out a bit but just bought a trailer. While I captain this RV and they watch me in awe at my knowledge, it's our secret that I learned about the tanks from you. Your video helps me look like a hero to my wife and kids. FYI, I had a pretty good idea how to do it. But it's great to get confirmation from someone who has done it many, many times. Keep up the good work. Chris
Hello, Nomadic Fanatic: Ok, so have to share my first time experience emptying my RV's holding tank after watching your video. A couple of days ago I finally went to a state park that has an RV dumping station. There was one RVer in front of me preparing to empty his tank so I thought I'd observe as a refresher. Cool. I had everything all ready so I would not have to open compartments, take stuff out, etc. When my turn came, I drove up and it went as follows: Mistake #1 - I did not park the RV exactly so the tank would be over the indented ramp. Mistake #2 - I grabbed the long hose/connector (with the clear attachment as I believe you showed before), unscrewed the cap so I could hook up the hose and... wait for it: Liquid started pouring out immediately! Brownish, stinky water all over the place...yuck. Thankfully, an experienced guy was waiting behind and he immediately came over and pushed the lever back in. Apparently, the levers had been left opened by the previous owner and, because I never saw anything leaking, I assumed everything was closed (in all fairness to my naivete, my late husband always took care of these tasks). While the helpful RVer did that, I was flushing the area and my shoes with clean water. I am thankful you stressed wearing gloves (although I would have done so regardless). I'm also very glad I had a spare set of socks and shoes in the RV! After both black/grey water had been flushed, I cleaned the hose per your instructions and proceeded to put everything away. The RVer who helped and I had a good laugh about it. I can tell you one thing for sure: that will never happen to me again!
First rate tutorial, Eric. Both the narrative and the visual. Very helpful to any one RVing: the novice or the expert. Thank you!
Your tutorials are very precise and easy to understand. Thanks for the footage and the advice.
Thanks for helping newbies on an inglorious topic
Thanks Eric! I know this is an older video, but I'm dumping my tanks for the first time and you were so clear in explaining! I had no idea how to figure out which lever was for black and grey - your video was the only place I found which explained it! Thank you!
Great info & fantastic tutorial ... nice work, Eric!
Nice vid. I would suggest using some rubbing alcohol, or lysol on the spigot of the fresh water, then rinsing it before hooking up my hose, especially if I plan on drinking it. You never know what the last user did with it, or what condition their hoses were in.

22 August 2018 (Wed) Ryan Losinger: that was great advice. Even if the advice is still relevant two years later. Thanks creative group
Well done Eric! Keep the tech info coming. I just bought '03 Jamboree 26Q and I don't know squat. You're a life saver. Thanks!
Great tutorial, Eric! Feels like I'm back in school watching one of those educational videos.
Excellent video E. I haven't been able to watch you for a few weeks so this was a jump in time for me. Dude, you put on A LOT OF WEIGHT. I'm a lot older than you and can tell you it doesn't get any easier to lose it as time passes. In fact I now have type II diabetes. Pull up on the stick Eric. Don't crash and burn like I did.
Nice to see how the RV'ers do it. on the other side of the pond we all have toilet cassettes. A lot less capacity but emptying everyday sure keeps the odours at bay. Love the channel.
Thanks for the straight to the point video! I homestead in an RV and about to upgrade from a Cavalier with no holding tanks to a much bigger, nicer, "real" RV with all the tanks and want to keep my new stuff "flowing" right! Thanks Eric! watch all your videos!
Really enjoyed your video! Lots us useful information in it. We are RV newbies (1.5 mos old), and just dumped our tank today for the first time, we let it go until nothing was coming out, however our indicator light still showed 2/3 full. But with more practice and helpful videos like yours, we will get it mastered! And thank god we can use any TP, I have a whole brand new Costco pkg of TP, and only 1 roll of MH TP left. Thanks guys!
Very useful, 3 or 4 tips never seen before. Thanks Eric.

+kartof1 Thanks.
Thank you so much for this well done instructional video. My late husband always did this chore but now I must do it by myself and your video is a great help.
i am planning to buy an rv ...this was the biggest problem i had but now u have made my day and explained everything professionally...thanx a ton
22 August 2018 (Wed) Nomadic Fanatic: really appreciated your common sense approach to maintaining your RV. We are in the process of either purchasing an older model Winnebago Warrior for under $12,000.00 or purchasing a newer Winnebago model with modern headlights. (2008 Winnebago Itasca, example) for $47K. The price swing is huge. But considering an older model would promote us to upgrade the entire interior and replacing the older amenities and smells. Would enjoy reading what your subscribers think about the older model purchase and replacing the interior with updated amenities verses the newer model with those amenities. Thanks creative group
Great info & fantastic tutorial ... nice work, Eric! They're really helpful to new RV owners
nicely done! been watching your 1st vids , you have really honed your craft over the years. great to see all the investments of time, money and your efforts are not wasted. this was well thought out. i think you are only going to get better in the months a head!
Agree with others, simple excellent direction and even some of the comments from others has given me more confidence after we pick up our Lance 1575 in a couple weeks...on our way on a camping trip. We've owned an Aframe, without toilet, so we know a number of things about TT's, but things like black tank dumping is new to us. Thanks brother!
Great vid. Jealous of the size of your tanks. We have a UK '91 Mercedes C class and it has a 3 gallon Black tank (yes, 3 gallon) that you remove from the RV and empty by pouring it out, a 12 gallon grey tank and a 12 gallon fresh water tank. It lasts us and our 3 kids about 3 days. Love your practical vids the best and the little tips and upgrades you do....roll on!
Thanks, Eric! We dumped our tanks for the first time this week. There was a big line at the dump station, and we were faster than most people!
Great video Eric! You made it interesting. My only complaint is that Jax did not give his input on maintaining a clean litter box.
Excellent job, planning on buying our first small camper this summer and this makes the process very simple for a newbie. Good to hear about the paper type, amazed that people even buy the stuff an RV store sells, until this video I was really sure if it was a money making racket but now I now. Walmart is is. I watched a video earlier on dumping a cassette toilet but not many campers have these and it looked easy but so did this. Filter idea is a very good idea.
excellent nomadic, I will take first rv trip this coming month, this information is priceless, Thanks Nomadic
Love the videos, you've inspired me to try full timing!
I don't have an RV, but I still watched this whole video! what ever you put up I watch,,,,, good day to you..... Sass
Excellent video and great tips. I like how the camera showed each step. Thanks!
great tips eric. I've only dumped the tank once on our trailer we use rarely and it took me 20mins lol.
Thank you for this great video. I'm planning to rent an RV this fall and the one concern I had was cleaning out the tanks and getting water. Going to bookmark this video so I can watch it again before my trip. :-)
Your video editing skills have improved immensely in the past several months. This is a very professional presentation, one of your best. I think 4 minutes is a little rushed, but I agree, it should not take long. It is a good idea to have a spray bottle of bleach to use also, and some places (I understand) require that you use a threaded adapter on the dump pipe in the ground.
The best video on this subject anywhere!
That was incredibly informative! Thank you.
nice, am going out in the rv for the first time ever and this is my biggest concern! Thanks. Nice post production on this one too.
great video Eric very informative! have a great day!
Thank you for getting back to the basics. Great stuff!
Great video. Very informative Eric.
Nice tutorial Eric, I know this is an older video but I’m a newbie and this was good basic info!
As always, great video and great information.Stay safe my friend
Great video Eric. it's funny I was watching ur old vids yesterday and I watched that old one lol
Hi Eric! We camp about 4 months out of year so we are not full timers, nor do we travel that much. I agree with you on the toilet paper for someone like you that is on the go all the time. The motion of the camper as you are traveling will keep the "Angel Soft" toilet paper from sticking to sides, etc. However we stay in a place for up to three weeks and there is no motion. I would be afraid in those situations to use regular toilet paper. Just a thought....might not be correct, but just something to think about because I sure wouldn't want to clog up those lines....Great video as usual...really enjoy watching you and living through your adventures.
Thanks! I've never done this before, and the video is a huge help!
Great Tutorial, thanks Eric.
Thanks! This puts my mind at ease.
well done tutorial Eric, thanks
SUPERB instructions AND Tips!
Thank you for this video! I'm out on my first trip with my TT, and the tanks are full, so I gotta dump them tomorrow for the first time. P-trap with the hose - excellent idea! I'm going to do that!
Good job on the tutorial Eric!
Great video! Very helpful.
Great video!!!
Great tutorial Eric!!!
Thank you for repost!!! better audio than last time :) Learned a LOT from your channel... Keep it up!
Eric what a great video so important to so thanks for sharing with all of us.
Great info Eric,Thank you.
Much appreciated video, going out in my new camper for the first time this weekend and trying to figure out how to do all of this :)
Great tutorial on a difficult subject.
Great tutorial Eric
Keep doin what you doin man love videos especially the how to's! Thanks for the video.
Great video Eric!
Great tutorial Eric! Thanks.
thanks you for teaching I am new on this and I really appreciate your help!
Thanks Eric. You nailed it!
Excellent tutorial Eric! You may have found your niche. Good job!
Great tips. And we use Angel soft too... its thin enough and soft to break down easily.... Going to try your Campco Rv Treatment, hopefully the smell is better then the blue liquid we use that smells chemically.... Thanks Eric...
Great video. We need to know these things. Thank you.
It cracks me up the way you go into the whole RV salesman stance on this one. LMFAO. I'm not a troll... this is not a negative complaint... it just cracked me up. You are a natural born actor Eric. I know you must have watched a million new RV sales demo videos... just like I have... and the way you sorta stand off to the side and slowly motion at the RV... waving your hand... hahahaha... too funny. Hey man... this is what makes your vids entertaining... keep it up. I'll keep watching... and good luck in your adventures.
excellent video! very detailed!
I think this is so helpful, I always wondered how hard it was to do that,,,,, awesome on the how to thanks so much,,,,
Very nicely said . I am going to change mines for the 1st time! I’m a little nervous but I have to do it for my family. I will keep you guys updated. So far I also heard to put on knee protectors from kneeling in poop , just in case. I don’t have that now but I do have old cloths so that might do. Also I’m changing mines in the middle of the freezing winter! Oh god why 😅. In my joker voice “ & here we go”
Great informative Vid thanks Eric....
Great video, my wife will be happy to know we can use Angle Soft instead of the super thin RV stuff. I also like the idea. Thanks.
I always clean the black water tank out with the water at the dump station at least 2 times and then pull the drain always put chemicals in your black water tank I get the one at the Big Blue Store and it doesn't hurt to dump a little down in the grey water tank and my grey and black water tank are smaller than yours there's something like 5 to8 gallons and I have two caps not one like yours ones for the grey water ones for the black water thanks for sharing the information Eric great video
He's a good teacher
Some helpful tips. We've been to that dump station in Elma a few times. Why do they never have a garbage receptacle near the dump stations in WA? It would be nice to toss the soiled gloves and soiled sani-wipes right there rather than have to bring them inside the RV.
Excellent tutorial.
Excellent video!
Awesome, useful video!
A very helpful video - thanks a bunch!
Nicely done. Thanks
Great informative video.
Nicely done, Eric, of course I can't help but thinking of cousin Eddie at the Griswalds dumping his tanks in the street. Since we only have a small roadtrek, we prefer to reserve the toilet for only #1.

I don't understand why people have to refer urine as #1 and stool or feces as #2. Yes I worked in a hospital and it's ok to call them what they are.
