I have spent most of my morning fearful of downloading the offers that are on the web in order to grab a video...by using my dev tools I have no fear!!! Great video!!! Stay safe everybody!!!! Now it wasn't exactly the walkthrough, we all know how things change quickly in the dev world but after clicking a few buttons (don't be afraid to) I was able to get the job done! Again...great vid!!!!

This might work on some outdated sites, but modern streaming services all run blob segments (via XHR calls) of .ts .m3u8 etc, which is completely different thing.

@@Louie_fit It depends, many times they sequence label those elements and don't encrypt. So you can bulk download by increasing sequence numbers (element1.ts element2.ts elementN.ts) and then reconstruct video by bulk converting them in tool like open source handbrake to mp4 for example and then concatenate them into single video file.

Like some websites there will not be 1 mp4 but many smaller media files, some websites don't show any media files and some websites show a normal .mp4 with normal size but opening the page if 'error 403 forbidden'

It really does work if you follow the steps in the video if the video you download won't play try a different media player because some of them don't play all file types.

I have tried several options, including browsers extensions, and always returns and html file or the above message. When open the download window, always comes an .html file, not a .mp4 or any other type of video file, even with the URL containing a .mp4 extension. It will be great if you can help. Pls try pausing n playing the video a few times. That's exactly what happened to me too but trying a few times shows up the file url under media tab.

Not showing media here, too. In fact, the screen that comes up looks nothing like what is shown here. What looks like a timeline with colored dots shows at the top, an empty table in the middle, and some html and error messages at the bottom. There is no place I can see where a URL would go in plain text. Any advice? I've tried stopping and starting the video many times, reloading, etc. Thanks in advance.

I tried various ways. There is no mp4, mp3, wav or any other familiar extension. Do you have any other video that can help? I tried to capture and use the link between the "quotes" that is there, that starts with "player" but I get - forbidden, 403.

No it does not. Try searching for .m3u8 file instead then you can google how to download mp4 from m3u8

My subscriptions will be over in 3 weeks times, hence i will not be able to view the videos again. Managed to saved the videos and the videos run smoothly. I dont have to screen recording anymore. Nothing shows up when I click Media under Network, but if I click ALL and narrow the search I can find two mp4s. One is the video and another is the audio track. Anyway to download these as a combined file?

My Coching started it's own app and only allows to streaming lecture online there is no inbuilt way to download lecture. What do you think can I download lectures.

What if under "Media, Headers" there are no video files shown? They seem to be hidden.

What browser did you use? I’m trying on Microsoft edge and it isn’t working. I have windows 11 but I also tried on windows 10 and nothing :(

First of all thank you so much man, this clearly works but for some of the websites that I really intend to use this it somehow fails. it doesn't show any links for the media filter. I've managed to find the source link but upon opening it, it says forbidden. I really hope you can help me with this one

Maybe try a different filtering method, I'm not sure if XHR sites would register it under media.
