He does that on the video "5 cool ways to use the Yamaha" and it says "The Musician's Swiss Army Knife" in the thumbnail. The tutorial for recording starts about halfway through.

Hey Drew, this is really cool, I just bought the THR30II Bluetooth one. I have a question though, how do I backup the existing presets that I already have in the Yamaha? Let's say, I download one your presets, won't it overwrite the one that was on the Yamaha? I can't get Yamaha to get that Classic rock sound., i.e., AC/DC, Zepplein, Greenday, Beatles, Sabbath, Stones, that kind of sound! Thank you for posting this. Very helpful.

Thanks for the Videos, very informative. I have a THR3011 I'm trying to update the firmware 1.31.0k I get as far as the "Preset Overwrite Warning" & then the backup fails. I'm using a Mac 11.7.2 updated, would you have any solutions for this please?

What amb do you recommend for classic guitar ( is it yamaha thr30iia )

Considered buying one of these. Just wondered what it would be like playing this live in a small venue if possible? Not knowledgeable of playing live yet, mainly play rock and metal.

Will depend on venue size, as it's not going to fill a 1000 cap club. BUT the 30 has a stereo line out, allowing you to feed to a mixer and then on to PA, while still using amp itself as a monitor. I've not played live for many years and am recovering from a nasty hand injury, but the potential to do this down the line was one of the reasons I paid the little extra for this amazing amp.

Hi! I read in the manual of the THR30II that it provides 30 Watts power with the mains and 15 Watts power with the battery, but unplugging the mains I do not hear any volume drop. Could you check this with your unit?

I do have one question about the THR. I've been using it for a while, but there's one thing that still isn't clear to me or messes with my head a little. If you load a preset, and then want to tweak it a little ON THE AMP. You change one parameter, but what happens to all the other parameters? Do they stay as saved in the preset (in this case you don't see what you hear, which is odd) or do they all change to the settings currently on the amps knobs? I kinda discovered that it seems to be easier to make adjustments through the app... any thoughts on this? Thanks

Yeah, I found the same thing. You tweak one thing on the amp it readjust the sound you have in the app. It makes sense of course. The app is overriding the knobs. As soon as you touch the knobs the app has to adjust everything to what you are doing with the knobs.

Thank you for this video. I am not able to load downloaded (to my Mac desktop or iPhone 13 Pro Max). It only shows User Memory 1…firmware is up to date. Any suggestions?

You have to find the zip file and move it to your files on your iPhone and then to the THR preset folder

Do you have any suggestions if my computer (Macbook Air) is not seeing the THR? Have downloaded current updates and Remote App.

Try a different cable, maybe try doing an update on your Mac OS. I'm not an engineer or computer specialist, but I do my best to make the gear that I have work. Usually it's a firmware update, a different cable, or a restart of the computer.

Can you download patches and load using iPhone or iPad? If so how ?

I've got the THR10ii, and the presets that are downloadable on that site are *.YDL, but the app only sees *..thrl6p files. Any suggestions?

From what I recall the old THR "YDL" files are not compatible with the new amp. Only the thrl6p files will work.

It's actually just 5 presets total. You can store more on your computer or device and load them in though. I'll have to make a video on that. Thanks for watching.

I use THR remote IOS App and i download presets and place in the IOS Filer location. In there you have a folder called THR Remote and in Presets folder you will see those preset you chose to save in the format of.thr6p. I open the THR remote app on my phone, load the presets i like, so say i want clean, lead and hi gain for blues purpose i then do a "Backup THR" of current loaded presets and call it as example "My Blues presets" and then i create another one and call it "My Go to Presets" and so on. Whenever i want to get the set of presets back i simply do "Restore THR"

It's good to share the preset but how am I supposed to know which preset is good to play certain songs? For example, I would like to play canon rock, but I don't know which preset to download. I wish people share which preset is good for which songs.

That’s called training your ear… I’ve just started playing a few months or so ago and you feel clueless at first but eventually you’ll start to be able to hear things an make your own adjustments. Like adding or removing gain and dropping the mids for a chunky rock tone… that’s called scooping the mids. Sometimes it can enhance the sound you’re looking for or sometimes you might need to add more mid and need to drip the gain down. This amp has a full EQ setting so you can really get the sound you’re after. You just have to play around with it and if you find a good tone save it or better yet write it down and it will help you develop your ear for tone. If you have someone that has a good trained ear that will help you learn faster but otherwise you’ll have to do what I’ve done and just kinda listen and learn. Good luck man 🤘

Yes, you can do this with the mobile app, as long as you have the guitar tone files saved on your device.

Anyone else not even able to get the amp updated? THR remote is trash for me, just keeps saying syncing device the whole time when my amp is connected (via USB). Anyone have any tips?

Sorry that you're having problems man. Try downloading the newest version of THR Remote, then update your THR from there. If all else fails, do a factory reset.

When I try this, the program crashes ... Does anyone have an advice?
