    Great playing! The solo is in E phyrgian? Like there are many 9 note scale lines here but I think it’s mainly around the E phyrgian?

    Nice Drew! This is the perfect choice given so many metal players, rightly so, love Allan. My keyboardist played w/him several times and he really was a very gentle and extremely humble man. He never thought highly of his own playing- to a noticeable degree. A lesson in humility.

    Hey Drew, Thanks for checking out the VTLD1. A few notes about your set up and the how/what/why of the unit itself: There are actually two tubes inside. The tuner output isn’t buffered but rather just routes the INPUT jack straight to the TUNER output jack so that there is no reason to keep a tuner in your signal chain. The basic setup (“true north”) is typically done with your individual stomp pedals bypassed. You want to compare BYPASS (guitar straight to amp) to LOOP ACTIVE (with all pedals bypassed) to the amp while adjusting drive/recover levels to your liking but generally for unity gain, so that you have the same level when pedal loop is active (with pedals bypassed) as you do when you are plugged straight in to the amp. THEN adjust your individual pedal gains for desired levels when they are activated. As evidenced by your demo - there is a ton of gain available at drive and recover but only where needed rather than as an effect in itself. It seems in your demo that you have a ton of DRIVE gain dialed in to start with which is probably why your Ox is freaking out. There are limits to stacking gain! The BOOST function is where you would dial in tube GAIN BOOST for effect. Lastly, the Hi Freq Trim adds a bit of ultra hi Q to compensate for cable losses or “sparkle” which tends to degrade with multiple cables, jack ends, etc. The desired result is that there is no loss in signal, tone, touch or dynamic response regardless what or how many pedals you are chained through. Because your pickup is always seeing a high impedance, high headroom tube first, along with the BOOST and MUTE/TUNE functions. Thanks again for checking out the VTLD1. I have a set up demo along with other demo and info here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nKGA0q9xYrOYZ6g.html

    The components alone if you baught them to build yourself and they were cheap shit even at trade prices would exceed the purchace price of the pedal.Ok they are not boutique quality but for the normal ''Joe'' in the street they are good enough.

    Awesome Drew. I tend not to use a lot of modulations in my effect pedal. Just pure distortion/fuzz, noise gate EQ in my board right now. I just ordered the face hugger from void. M and I'm tempted to add a looper to my effects to start experiencing more than just " distortion" heavy sound . I'll definitely add that popular TC electronic looper(ditto )real basic. Awesome video like always Drew. Keep it brutal man 😎🤟

  • @DrewCreal
    @DrewCreal17 күн бұрын

    Thanks a lot man, those are all great units that you mentioned. It’s definitely fun to make sound scapes with a looper and delays. Love that stuff. I haven’t tried the face hugger yet, I’ll have to check that out!

    Will the Ulooper process the stereo signal from the THR effects or will it only process mono?

  • @DrewCreal

    I’m not 100% sure, but I’m pretty sure it just sends a mono signal from the amp to the output of the ULooper.

    Hi.With the send output connection from the pedal,using THR amp,do know if the signal to a PA,for example,includes the speaker’s simulation from the THR?I know with output connections on the back THR,you lose the emulations.Not on amp speakers,but yes on the signal you want to amplify. Thanks

  • @DrewCreal
    @DrewCreal12 күн бұрын

    @@enriquerierariera6374 when you run the line out from the back of a THR 30, it still retains the speaker simulation. This is also the case when using the ULopper, the speaker simulation is still there.

    New sub. Great video. Yeah my bass friends are often shocked I have used Ampeg sometimes as a guitarist. I had a tiny ampeg SS practice amp in college I wish to baby Heyzeus that I still had. Best distortion on a small amp, either tube or solid state. Been looking for a pedal that does that SS/VH140c sound. Currently use an Ampeg V1000 Lee Jackson designed head that's a great EL34 tube, mid-gain amp but it's more like a Laney Lionheart than a Laney Supergroup to my Ampeg-impaired guitar buds😂. Again excellent job.

  • @DrewCreal

    Thanks a lot man, glad you enjoyed the video. The Ampeg VH140C and the Sunn Beta Lead are two of my favorite sounds, and you can get them from Void Man now in a stomp box which is pretty sweet.
