I appreciate the tips, man. I’m trying this from time to time mostly for fun, knowing it’s out of my league. I mostly get the board motion right, but to stay over it requires more height and force. Need to build up pop strength. Got hyped to try it again after seeing this!

Haven't skated in years, as i felt that age 30+ was too old to teach an old dog new tricks. Tha Braille crew has renewed my faith in tha ability to do so. Jus ordered a new blank complete a couple of hrs ago. Always dreamed of busting out a tre flip back in my younger days... will do it on this new braille complete. FIRST TRYYYYYY

A tip that really helped me with the trick is you should pretend you’re going for a backside flip but turn your body back to normal stance at the last second . It helped me get the vertical rotation

I don't think beginners should really try to get this one, unless you get them to rotate more sideways. And, for a beginner, any trick can be a popsicle machine hahah. I once landed an ollie _very_ nose heavy and pretty much got the tail into my upper leg. Don't ask me how I did it, not even sure. The board probably just got stuck on the front foot sliding somehow.

This is probably too buried to be found and read. However, when you do these trick explanations, you should do some attempts at the end so we can see how long it takes you to do it, this will help set our expectations and goals for the trick. If it takes you a few goes, the difficulty of it will be clearer and we'll be able to adjust our expectations accordingly.

Nice tips, I wish I could skate in a safe environment and not die haha. I love the way this trick looks(I have heard it called forward flip and dolphin) and when I saw Ricky's persistence with it into the grind...man that was sick 😎👍👏 mogley, I would love to see you do it on the rail(please ask ricky to help that happen)even he said and acted like it was sketch haha. I guess everything in life takes time and pain to get to where you wanna go(i understand this with drums as i have been playing over 20 years)hopefully one day I will be able to roll around and maybe do a kickflip, tre flip etc. I don't wanna die but just have some fun 😊 great job guys.

Thing is, when you were 12 you probably didn't even consider getting injured or the potential risks and a 12 year old can take a few hard bails and bounce back. Now at 27 (I'm 27 too btw) you think about potential injuries and the fact that when you fall now it takes you longer to get back up, if you get back up at all lol

@@Mr.M1STERYou just got to stop being scared. I got back into skateboarding at 36 years old after being off of a board for 18 years. If I can learn inward heelflips at 37 you can learn hardflips no problem. It's also worth mentioning that I've never landed an inward heelflip as a kid but I have them down now. I can also get frontside shove-its every try and that was a trick I could never land as a kid either. Your kid body might have had more energy and resilience then but your adult mind would probably have a better understanding of the tricks now.

Back when i use to skate i leared this trick after about 2 years of skating, i could never even tre flip and was terrible at kickflips. My biggest tip for people is to literally flick hard off the nose of your board. Mine were always vertical

  • @PHeMoX

I think this trick is a bit like understanding how to impossible. You have to hook the board almost with the flick going in an arc down. And timing and flick direction is key. I obviously can't do dolphin flips nor impossibles as I'm a total beginner, but I think beginners should try to rotate dolphin flips and hard flips more sideways anyway.

You pop up high almost rocketed and bring your foot up and then flick to avoid your board smashing the ground

This video series is better when it’s an A.K. tutorial. He gives an explanation of what it is with a little history while intermittently showing others performing the trick in various ways. Then he goes into the step by step process in what he hopes is the easiest way verbally and physically with tips and hacks. When he can he has a guest skater teaching a variation/ alternate stance along side of him. Ending with back to back to back performances and clips, wins and fails. I’ll take that over this boring blackboard lesson.
