That’s if they wake up every time. Being closer has advantages like you can react faster

Im ngl i knda skipped around in this video and I'm not sure If u touched on this or not but u can also guess if u have good idea of how your opponent is playing. For example if they seem to be scared or really patient then maybe going for away dodge reads or less aggressive dodges is good bc that kinda fits their playstyle of trying to get away, but if they are really aggressive then going for options that cover aggressive dodges like in and down and things like that could be a good guess because that fits the aggressive playstyle.

thanks for the help. i get hit by the hail mary sigs, usually cuz they’re bad and don’t know combos lmao. i think it’s also important to know how to dodge for defense and what makes it harder for your opponent

Great guide Cosolix! Whenever i teach players and stuff i always teach them there are 3 ways to read a dodge like Reaction read, guess read and Presumption read (when they dodge the same way twice in a row and you read it) which are what you covered in the video so I'd say this guide is the best for anyone looking for an in-depth guide on how to read their opponents who dodge random or in general. Also for wake ups, there are some universal reads involving chase dodges which can really help like scythe down-light jump chase dodge reverse nair since chase dodges are like dodges with momentum and they cant hit you (unless they delay or reverse their wake up) in the process.
