How to do TIME-LAPSE PHOTOGRAPHY with any FUJI CAMERA

In this video, I take a look at how to do time-lapse photography with my fuji camera, this is something I have thoroughly enjoyed over the last couple of years. In this time-lapse tutorial, I talk about setting up a Fujifilm camera to get the best possible looking time-lapses.
For this video, I will be using the Fuji X-h1 but the core principles will be the same for the fuji X-t2, X-t3 and X-t4 etc... For some Fujifilm cameras, you may need an intervalometer, but the timelapse tips from this tutorial will still apply.

    Many thanks for this Ian. I've been struggling with the Flickerering problem with my time lapses, so your suggestion to shoot at f/4 (on the 10-24mm lens) is something I'll be trying next time I go out. Cheers Stuart

    I need to shoot more timelapse. Thanks for the kick up the arse! 🤣 You can "fake" motion if you are happy to have the time lapse video at 1080p. As it's been shot at full Res you can do a pan or zoom in post production.

  • @ian_worth

    @ian_worth

    4 жыл бұрын

    Cheers Mark, 🦶🏻 😂😂 Yes indeed you are right, you can add some motion in post and my examples at the end, all had a panning effect added to them. I think the only difference is that you cant get that parallax effect. The slider just adds that little bit extra to the finsihed clip i feel. 👍👍

    Hi Ian. Great video! Is there a way to lock the aperture on Fuji cameras? As currently even when manually selecting the aperture on the lens (16-55 2.8), and the in full manual mode (focus, iso, shutter), the iris opens and closes for each frame. Do you know if there is a way to do this? Cheers

  • @ian_worth

    @ian_worth

    4 жыл бұрын

    Thanks Toby, The only way to lock the aperture is to have it wide open, that way it will remain in that position, as far as i know anyway 👍😀😀

    you can shoot video and speed it up, otherwise you will need to add all of the still images together in software such as Photoshop or premier pro 👍😀

    I'm using an x-t20 and hitfilm express. Did you resize your frame in the camera? Mine fuji is set to 4000x6000 which is obviously larger than 4k, so my footage seems zoomed in on my video editor. Did you adjust your frame size in camera?
