Thank you. Now I think I finally understand the difference between tent stitch and half cross stitch that I hadn't been able to figure out from other videos.
This is the best tutorial out there. Thank you Sarah
first video series I've found that clearly explains the difference between tent & half cross stitch, shows it clearly, and explains why you would use one over the other. Excellent videos.

Hi Sarah, having done quite a few tapestries in my younger age I now want to try again. Really enjoyed your tutorials, brings everything back to me regards stitch types. I seem to remember that when following a printed canvas I use to do one colour at a time, which makes it a little messy when you change colour. Is it best to have two or three colours active, stitching to holding point in between colour use? Should you complete lines rather than colour areas, which might give a more uniform tension, using the two or three colours to continue the straight line? Robbie
Excellent explanation, thank you very much, I would like to know where I can get the table frame with clamps.
Hi, thank you very much for the nice video. Can I do both at the same time. Half stitch to the right and going left back in tent stitch? Thank you very much. 🌸
Thank you.
Hi! Im very new to needlepoint. I was wondering what you do with the knot you made at the beginning? Do you cut it off when you're finished doing a line?
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. These days i m doing my first tent stitch project. When i getting finished my picture is drawn. I dont know what is the reason. can u help me.
Hi Sarah, Are you using floss or perle thread? Also, is the canvas like a painters canvas with a wood frame or are you using a piece of loose canvas stretched on your frame? What size needle? I'm new to this, so clueless:) Thanks, Judy
Hi Sarah! Loving your videos. I have a question about tent stitch. Could I not go back in the opposite direction if I were to to stitch from top to bottom (when going from left to right) instead of bottom to top as stitched coming right to left? Not sure this will make sense?
