We call these 2 strand flat twist, you can do them with just your hair, added at the beginning hair and done as feeder braids (where you feed them into the hair as your go along) I know that certain parts of the country haven't seen certain braiding styles as of yet but here in DC this style is at least 15 years old. But Thank You for showing ME how to do them, now I can try them for myself and save some money.:)

lol everyone call it a different name but it's the same style. I first saw this in Jamaica a while back. Its called a Flat Rope Twist. I have been doing it in my daughter hair now for about 6 years. I like it because it say longer than the regular cornrow and most of the times I don't add any hair. Its best to try doing this style without adding hair at first. I was not going to come back to the U.S. without knowing how to do it. lol

it is a beautiful hairstyle but I don't know about you creating the style I live in ny and the Africans that do my hair have been wearing this style for years it is very pretty
