You forgot to say that when depressing the gas pedal, you should do so all the way to the floor until you feel a "click" in the pedal. And also you should wait 2 seconds before releasing the brake pedal in order to build turbo boost pressure for optimal results. Otherwise, great advice. Thanks for sharing.

Just got one yesterday. When I did this it caught me so off guard. My heart was pounding. More than pleasantly surprised at how much fun I’m having with this car.

Had mine a week (2nd hand 12,000miles) and not had chance to launch it yet. Been really wet here in the UK (when isn't it). This thing is quick without LC! But everyone knows/expects it to be quick. What I surprised me was how quick this thing goes in-line, like 50-70/80+.

I only have 400 miles on mine, I’ve floored it a couple times but didn’t red line it, I do notice the front in really lifts up from a dead stop which is bad ass , I can’t wait to launch control tho

I noticed, once you see the launch ready sign, you really have to wait exactly 3 secs. to release the brake. if too early it'll not build much boost yet and if you wait to 4 sec. or more, it backtracks and reduces boost, for safety of the system.. so it's so tricky... count to 3, but not as fast as he did in video. slower for actual 3 secs. and if you see the boost meter move up, I guess that's good enough too. it's finicky this way.

Also should have mentioned to push the boost button that is under the accelerator. You put your foot all the way down and there is a button to push further for an extra boost

My roommate has one that's pretty modded up, it's supposed to be doing a bit over 500HP. I wonder if he knows it has LC. I also wonder if the drag radials will grab or just go up in smoke.

when you have your foot on the brake and you say to put your foot on the gas. do you push the gas pedal all the way to the floor before releasing after the 3 seconds ?

I just got a 2021 and it’s bad ass! Coming from a Lexus owner for years, I finally feel I got a car that I always wanted the Lexus to be. GS350 is a great car and is more quiet, but the Stinger GT is a much better all around car.

For the not as balling people out there without the GT, the (2019, and i would assume 2020) 2.0T Stinger has launch control as well. Same steps. Gonna be a full second and half slower if you're running stock but fun all the same.

Great stuff Ron. That Stinger is such a cool car. My local dealer just got in 4 GT2 Stingers just the way I would want it. Ceramic silver with Red interior. If my Corvette gets delayed I will have to get a Stinger in December. Do you know when the 2020 Kia Stingers will be announced?

MJ Dukes Korean variations all have the logo E on them, whilst other non Korean versions brand the normal Kia badge.

You can actually get them on Amazon, but just Google "Kia Stinger Badge." You will need to take the existing ones off.

Launch control - I'm wrestling with that too... I'll text it to see if it functions. My Fast-Furious days are done. Love the GT cruise attributes of the car... What's the name of the music at the end of the vid?

Haha I know same, I dont drive as fast or reckless as I used to but its fun to really hit it every once in a while. The music is a Battle Grounds remix from the video game.

Build a diy boost launch harness and that car takes off like a rocket. My 0 - 60mph is In the 3 second range.

Ron, ur Stinger will go faster than 4.7 seconds from 0-60, it will go like 4.3 but on premium gas ofc, my car can easily do 4.2/4.3 sec from 0-60

I dont know how is the turbo lag in Stinger but in my car is virtually none existent, man it spools almost instantly every time

My GT2 AWD rarely lets me do launch control . I have been able to do it maybe twice. every other time the revs just go up to around 5k rpm and doesn't activate launch control. Super annoying

You can't half ass it mate. I was playing around with my Stinger and if you do everything else but don't press the gas all the way it doesn't engage... also try making sure the autostop/start button is off (orange light visible)

That's turning off stability control holding the button. That what keeps the car going straight. Only pulls power if car slides more than like 5 or 10°

How old is your Stinger? Mine is a month old with 2000 miles on it

Dude needs a ride in my Hellcat, my wife's GT2 while fun is like half cocked compared to my Hellcat.

I think my stinger is overturned from the factory...it spins like crazy from a dig.

It’s hard to say because with the Masi you got the sound and aggressiveness that made it feel faster than what it was compared to the quiet smoothness of the Stinger

Right! A part of that has to do with the conditions I mentioned in the video so it all works out with the right tires/pressure, pavement, weather etc. I honestly didnt may attention to the times. Just focused on not dying lol. i need to vmax them next time.

What would be interesting is to see which Stinger will launch and get to 0-60 faster...the RWD vs. AWD Stinger GT. The RWD has the slight weight advantage, while the AWD has, well, AWD in its favor.

@@JamesSarino Agreed, but from all the tests and reviews I've read (and I think I've seen them all, lol) There is virtually no difference when conducted in "good" conditions. The advantage the AWD has is only when road surface conditions are less than good. IMO AWD is not worth the weight and complexity UNLESS you live in a climate that frequently experiences foul weather. Most reviews also point out that the RWD model feels of course lighter and more maneuverable and controllable at the limit than AWD models both on the track at the limit and on the road. Unfortunately, I have no first hand experience to substantiate their claims....YET!

Great job Ron! I'm at 1600 miles. Utah tint and all weather formats. I may do a front lip spoiler but no other mods planned. I will switch out tires before winter to some Continental Extreme Contact DWS06...

Rons Rides i don’t like too much electronics in the car. I know the base gt is just missing mainly the sunroof electronic suspension, but I hate those shift by wire gear selectors. Hoping to get a 2019-2020 gt for around 36$ think above 40 is too much.

I had the GT base.... trust me.. the GT 1 is worth the extra dollars... the blind spots in the GT are challenging.. and the extra tech in the GT1 will help out ... plus the upgraded stereo, sun roof, and larger screen ... you'll wish you had..
