How to do gymnastics when you’re tired and your body hurts

Спорт

Sometimes what you do on the hard days is more important than what you do on the good days. This was filmed at the end of a long week right after Championships. I still got it done! Everything looking good this week. We’re filming another training update tomorrow so that will probably be your last look at my gymnastics until Trials 😱😱😱

@Indwelling Spirit Creations 777 it really depends, idk if you know but usually in gyms there’s a lot of yelling and cheering, it’s really really helpful on tough days. If she really thought it was an issue, she would tell them to stop. Regardless, she’s a professional gymnast that knows how to block it out. Gabby Douglass’ old coach Chow used to make the girls scream/cheer at her while doing her routines to simulate real competitions, when there are wayyy larger crowds that are screaming constantly. Just thought you should know!

Just consider this a warm-up for marriage. You woke up late, have to get the kids to school, get yourself to work, do 8+ hours there, come home - make dinner, dishes, homework, baths etc. and then your HUSBAND wants to perform your WIFELY DUTIES, even though you're exhausted and hurt everywhere. You're up until midnight with him, 1 of your kids has just wet the bed, you finally get to sleep around 1 am, and you have to be up again the next day at 6 am to start it all over again....... and this is a 'good' day!! You're welcome!

Also, as someone who was a L10 in the 90s and got recruited to the D1 championship track team as a PVer, then trained for 2004 with several teammates who were amazing enough to go, the mental game is way more difficult than the physical. When you get out at trials, just put it all out there and go out and let your body do it’s thing. I see it in you that you have this. DO NOT let doubt or anyone else’s words creep in there. Firstly I’m a huge fan, but just wanted to give some suggestions that can increase your scores and make you more competitive for that Olympic team spot. To increase your scores, maybe consider the 1/1 double layout instead of the moors on floor because the moors gets so many deductions with a piked hip angle, knees bent and low chest on the landing. You have the power to easily do a super clean chuso which would increase your scores immensely (lose 0.1 in difficulty but gain 0.5+ in execution). Also the 3/2 to 3/1 on floor is great, it would be +0.2 in difficultly and eliminate the 0.1-0.3 step that usually comes after the 5/2. Also consider disconnecting the full pirouette on bars from the dismount. The 0.1 connection value isn’t worth the 0.3 deduction for the angle you usually finish the pirouette. Additionally, if it is the full pirouette instead of the hip circle full pirouette, there is no connection bonus from my knowledge. This means you are going for a connection that is all risk (the angle that the pirouette is finishing from vertical) and no gain. I think if you were to focus on the full pirouette alone (either the hip full or just full pirouette) it would increase your chance of ending in the vertical position and reducing your deductions. Vault looks great, if jade hadn’t secured her specialist spot through the World Cup, that spot would be yours and you’d be medaling at the Olympics! Hopefully you stick around for worlds cause you could definitely medal in multiple events. Goodluckk!

I love your relationship with your coaches. You all work as a team and I can tell there is so much trust on both sides. I think I remember you have been with them for a long time now? Do you ever train with anyone else, like anyone from the USA team, Utah, or other elites at desert lights? Do you prefer to train alone or with others? Also, I get way to excited when I see a new video from you! I have some serious medical diseases and watching stuff is a great distraction a lot of times, and your videos have been my favorite go to for awhile now!! 💕

Just started following you cuz I didn't know you had a channel. But I love watching you show us the ins and outs of what it's like to be in the world of a Gymnast. I have never been in a Gymnast gym in my life or Gymnast event unfortunately but since I can remember watching the Olympics on TV I wanted to be an Gymnast like yourself. Your have accomplished so many things in this sport, that's awesome. You will to continue* to do so too*. Hope* you have a moment to recover but I think u are going to do great at trials ❤
