Glad to see you back on a dirtbike! Even if it isn't a yamaha! I bought a yz250fx because of all the praise you gave! 🙌 and I must say it's the best bike I have ever had!

Vegas...its a toy bike/commuter w/no power.Regardless its been fun watching you wrench away.... Good for the channel and some extra cash when its sold to buy another bike.Maybe a yamaha wr 250r if you can find one at a decent price...Cheers..!

I looked for a wr250r but an old one is as expensive as a new crf250l or crf300l and man, the crf300l it's not a bad bike . Usually the wr250r has 30k miles and they want 5800 for it

55555 enjoyed watching you fix the old bike back to running condition but riding an old bike gets boring fast.

I had a new 2008 Honda crf230L. It wasn't bad on street and single track trails.

Couple of things, If you hear a ticking sound or the bike starts hard when hot, you may need a valve adjustment. Also, change oil more frequently and you will prolong a valve adjustment.

55555. Got into your videos for the dirt bike content. Not a huge fan of the electric bike videos. Really like this series of DR200 videos... Buy,fix,ride. How long do the easy pull clutch units last? I see mixed reviews on them.

I have 300 hours on it on my Yamaha with no problems if installed correctly

best strategy

Check out what Gabe did to the suspension on his DR200. This bike may just be too small for you and the suspension a bit too stiff for off road. The XR250 would probably be a lot better than that bike for what you want to do. 55555

Yeah I saw Gabe's video, problem is that financially this is a black hole , unless gets lots of views the money is wasted , and if you don't because Gabe did it on KZread , you gonna end up with a 3k bike that it's worthless when you can get a much better bike for that money that has true potential .. this bike is as much as it can be without loosing your mind over it

​​​@@vegasromaniacno its very cheap. Its basically a handful of simple mods that will transform the bike completely. PWK carburetor Modify the exhaust or get a slip on that fits. Relocate the footpegs closer to the swingarm. You can either buy peg relocaters or you can cut and weld yourself. For the suspension mod you need 2 spacers and some fork oil, very affordable. Check in Gabe's book for a more detailed explanation. Might come out at 200$ if that. Optionally put in a 13 tooth front sprocket.

Maybe 23 year old fork oil doesn't help the suspension when off-road.

oil doesn't go bad in time goes bad by breaking the molecules during use ..

@@vegasromaniac Yea, yea, yea. Those DR's are light trail bikes like my old 2st TS 185, 2st, oil injection. Over a few years I made into a good enduro bike. Keep putting out the great vids.

@@vegasromaniac You do want the R. The R is mapped for higher performance, has different suspension more for off road. Different frame geometry, Also looks way more dirt bike ish. You can street legal it with the tusk kit in a afternoon.

Without being fairly dirt capable this does not really even fit a dual sport title. Too bad but it could be cheap transportation for a new rider.
