History is when your icebreaker speech is about your past. What were some significant moments from your life that led you to this club?
Overcoming is when you choose 1 big conflict from your life & talk about what you learned from that moment.
To get Toastmasters icebreaker speech topics and speech ideas, mainly ask yourself:
"Is my speech helping others know more about me or not?"
That is the main intention of your first talk.
The main thing to do is have fun. Learning how to do a Toastmasters Icebreaker Speech is one thing. But to take it a lever further, have fun. Attach positive emotions to the talk.
