Loved this video Will! You're one of the best teachers I've seen because you're able to use real world examples like the money example in reference to the notches on the lever. I also really love your X motion technique. I've never seen it before, yet it seems to be much more effective at ensuring you don't create extra lines of demarcation. I really like the elevator up, steps downward technique as well because it ensures the blend doesn't go too high. I appreciate ya talking us through the cut so we get a glimpse at the methodical approach you take. There are so many little things that the average person might not pick up on if there were no explanation. Lastly, I was curious at what age you realized barbering was what you wanted to do with your life?

I am curious to know why anyone would thumbs down this video. I am currently attending Tribeca Barbering School in Rego Park Queens (NYC). They deemed me, (Mel Tha Barber), and I can honestly say that even though my Teachers are great at detailing our work they dont break it down like this. I've watch hundreds of videos like this from Chris Bossio, Chuka tha Barber, 360 Jezzy, and one of my O.G's Snead Tha Barber. All are pretty amazing but none are as detailed as this video. I give this 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 thank you and please continue to give us more detailed insight like such. Its greatly appreciated.

As usual, You attacked that thang wit’ surgical precision. I use the “‘Majic Clips” often, but the Oster 76 happens to be my favorite. However, a “Master Barber” must be proficient with every tool. Salute!!! I see that You like the 000 on the bald before the too!!🧐 I often use a 0000 or 00000 with criss cross or circular motion to take the line out. Stamm the Man!!! Hey I graduate Barber College this week Friday. They said I could finish 4 weeks earlier due to my skill level. So thanks again for showing Me what the tapering comb is really used for ,and how to translate the measurements of the blade from machine to machine.

I'd really love for you to due a line less fade. Show people it can be done. I worked in So CA 20 years then moved away. Europe was next. I'm in the medwest where it's so different. I respect you at less than 30 sportin a ring as married. More young adults need to act on their artistic abilities. I was very fortunate to learn from National Barber of the year in 1971.Yes, right in the Anaheim area too. Greatful and found he's still alive and well at 84. One who loved his passion to teach. Humble is not even enough to show how he believes this award is just one of a few. How many can say they learned from "National Barber of any year?" God bless him for teaching me. Im now a student instructor that will have my own school to allow his legacy keep on and stay alive. For those who don't know Vidal Sassoon was a man, not just a product line R.I.P. He was one of the best. Nexus is another gentleman who originally owned his own private product line period. In a divorce the wife and the up with the product line. Personally she ruined what Nexus had as a professional line. People anytime you can buy products in your grocery store it is not any more professional. Even TRESemme Nexus I could go on but you get the point. Stay true to your vision ,and your focus. As an adult seasoned Master Barber, I will state this gentleman knows his stuff, but we all find our craft when we get our tools of trade in hand. As Will stated "he prefers Wahl over Andis. I prefer a fast feed over a 76. Now that I'm teaching in a college in the Midwest, I will break out my Wahl balding clipper with a six x 0. I don't believe any higher number is needed to achieve a cut. If so, breakout that razor that you Barbers were trained to use. That will set you aside from a real Barber. It does not matter if you use portable disposable blades or a strop and honing style razor. Use what you learned to use. I worked in a military base, I see it's a tutorial but it's a 30:20. You should be able to kick out a fade like this in 15 minutes. Figure out your cost times 4. If you don't believe me ask the barber shops on any military base. They are all 03 s that's pretty much what this is, just a civilian version of a military cut. I enjoy other Cuts as well horseshoe fades. Flat top fades let's see some artistic abilities Mister Will Stamm. You have my vote at your age. I'm proud of you for accomplishing two shops and willing to show your trade on local media. I can't do this myself,ha. I like my money too much to give out free advice.

Thank you for for this tutorial. How does this system translate to shorter or higher lengths on top? Would you lower the lengths used to fade or raise the lengths depending on the length on top?
