How to do a Roast Lamb Leg in a Weber Kettle

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video i'm going to show you how to do a roast lamb leg in a Weber kettle!
I'll be covering off the below in this video:
- BBQ set up
- Lamb leg preparation
- Cooking times and temperatures
- How to make crispy duck fat potatoes
- Chilli and garlic green bean recipe
And much more!
I like my roast lamb served medium well, so I chose to take my lamb roast out at 150F/65c internal. If you like yours done a little bit less, then simply remove it at a lower internal temperature.
Here's the chilli garlic green bean recipe for your reference:
- Green beans
- 1tbs soy sauce
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 1tsp crispy chilli oil
I simply steam my beans for a few minutes to soften them up, then i'll fry then for a few minutes in the above ingredients to finish!
The duck fat potatoes I boiled until fork tender which took around 10-15 minutes, then I strained them, fluffed them up a bit and then they went into a tray of duck fat. I aim for a cooking temperature of around 200c when I do these in the oven and they took around a hour until they were crispy, they were flipped every 20 minutes during this time too.
Definitely give this meal a try for yourself! The roast lamb leg was amazing, the duck fat potatoes are always a winner and the chilli garlic green beans are a nice side for it all too!

That looks amazing. With your butchering skills you should do one where you teach people how to 'knick' the aitch bone, shank etc before cooking. The meat pulls back so good and makes it simple to seperate the round, topside and outside. Gets soooo much more meat and it's all carved in the correct direction making it more tender.
