Simple, concise, and to the point. Thank you so much for a quick and straightforward video without a ton of filler or long intros!

Thank you for this straightforward, quick video. I love tutorials like this. It's so frustrating when a video for one stitch is almost 20 minutes of space filling chatter.

I just tried to watch, probably the same one you did, 10 minutes before she got to the stitch.

Agree 1000%. This was a great video. Short, to the point, clear. I totally dread watching most stitching videos because of unnecessary length and jabber. Thank you!

This is so helpful for when a design has just one stich needed on its own, thank-you!

I always get a little giggle when I see "dislikes" on tutorials like this. It just goes to show that not everyone is smart enough to "get" it. This is a fantastic tutorial. Thank you for taking the time to make it. I'm going to share it right now with a friend of mine who has never heard of this method.

I’m guessing the negatives might be because it’s not a traditional pin stitch - at least from how I know it to be. I actually like this one better as there isn’t the extra stitch you’re trying to hide.

Thank you. It worked first time for me! I've seen a couple of KZread tutorials referencing this stitch but this is the most clear. I'm doing lettering - just started to cross stitch - and being able to anchor an individual stitch is an absolute lifesaver.

Thank you for this very good tutorial. Could you show how to make a pin stitch when half stitch is done, especially when the pattern uses a single strand.

If you have todo a single pin stitch how do you finish it on the back of aida

  • @haveringrob

how do you end it, if it is a single stich all by itself?

  • @Madebyky1

Just thread the tail under a length of stitch on the back, even better if there are other stitches close by to make it more secure.

Can you finish this way as well?

  • @Madebyky1

    @Madebyky1

I don’t think it would be very secure as a finish due to the top stitch just being normal; unless you parked the tail on top and stitched over it 🤔 you’ve given me some food for thought there Rose!

So do you do the railroading on each top stitch?

  • @Madebyky1

Personal preference really, I only do it when I notice the floss slightly twisting for the top stitch. Some people do it both top & bottom 🙂

i don't like this method cause it takes too long where as if u hold the tail and just pull up and hold the tail with the one coming up its quicker
