How to Divide Dreads that are too big or sitting wrong.

This is my method for dividing larger dreadlocks that aren't sitting right on the head. These dreads that you see are over 10 years old so it's never too late to get your grid right! Prevent hair loss, scalp issues and discomfort by listening to what they are telling you.

So, you just save me my hairline and I think you so much. I am a Caucasian. I’ve had dreads for about 18 months now and I combined my dreads in the front together on the left side of my hairline so I had about three it took me about an hour to split them, but I finally did, I had no idea that had a mind of their own. I was terrified as I was slowly pulling them eventually I realize that they were around each other and I got them out. I crocheted them back into their own area and I’m so grateful for you beyond my wildest dreams.

Also, I would love more videos on how to maintain locs. My main problem is loose hairs, loops and new growth not laying flat which is the biggest concern of mine. Sorry for the spam. I just had someone really mess them up…

Hi! Just seeing this. Have you watched my DIY pulling in loose hairs video? Or my video about root rubbing? Those two videos should give you all the tools you need to get the root to to lock up and eliminate loose hair. If it's not working, then either you are not doing it properly or maybe the root isn't sectioned properly, causing the slack, and you'd want to watch my most recent video about "do dreads make you lose hair". (I might have that title wrong)

Oh wow. When I did this to mine, I started from the bottom with a very sharp implement (thicker type needle at the end of a beauty tool, not sure what to call it) and kept "brushing out" the center portion of the dread all the way up to the scalp. I did have to crochet some of the hair back into place. The scissors would scare me way too much. I bet her scalp feels so much better.

I really love your videos, I have straight hair locs for 2 years and i know nobody who knows how to do them properly and it’s hard for me to do on my own. I just recently trusted in someone and they broke my hair so much… Do you take clients right now? I’m willing to come to you !
