In grafana 7 you could automatically see the threshhold line on the dashboard and set the alert stright from the dashboard... To bad it was removed

So in the end, Grafana also needs other monitoring tools like Prometheus for the "alerts" feature, right?

Will it ever be possible to setup alert annotations on panels that are repeated, based on the variable they are repeated on? 🥺

-not just repeating panels, but variables in general. The alert annotations will appear on your graph regardless of the variable selected. So you wind up seeing annotations for alerts that are not applicable to the variable selected.
thanks a lot, i did not know how to add that alert after saving to my dashboard

Hi @hermanngahm7598, thank you! Unfortunately, linking one alert to several dashboard panels is currently not possible. You would need to create/duplicate the alert rule to link it to other dashboard panels. - Marie
This is just 3-week old video, but Grafana Alert setting is already different. Number 4. is now Configure labels and notification, then number 5 is Add annotations.
