    Thank you for your video... I've been having some issues with upper thread, a mesage "Check and rethread the upper thread" but the thread is fine. I've noticed the handwheel has a bit of a play horizontally, so the main shaft moves and also moves the take-up lever. Is this normal to move sideways?

    I loved this video. I was hoping you could tell me the secret to putting on a new handwheel?

    Where can I buy the blowoff stuff you used? I was told by service agent,not to oil my Brother machine apart from one drop on the race, but you were quite liberal with your application, should I risk it?

    You take all of the screws out of the plastic covers. None on the bottom.

    My Brother ULT2003D stops......looses power. If I hit the side of the machine it comes back on. Could something inside be lose? Can I get to the main power plug by removing the front cover?

    This is the main reason I was watching this video. Useless if I don't know how to actually take the cover off. Glad I'm not alone.

    I haven’t used mine for years. I have had it put up. But when I got it out and put the embroidery carriage on it the display screen flickers and won’t let me access anything. Any ideas what this could be?

    Thanks for your video. 2 things please, I thought you were never supposed to use compressed air on a machine and also I thought brothers did not use oil. Thanks for your help!

    Not true. Service techs do use the oil & air.

  • @VRUAN

    After you open up the covers, you can use air. Brother doesn't recommend to oil the machine because it doesn't want you to open the case. Brother wants it to be done on a dealer (and charging you handsomely, of course).

    I bought a brother and they did an update on the computer board but gave me the other one back. Can I put the old one back in myself?

  • @VRUAN

    @VRUAN

    They replaced the board for a reason. Examine the other board carefully to see if there is any burn mark on any component? If the board is defective, and if that was the reason for replacement, then the malfunction is most likely due to burned capacitors. Replace those capacitors with a solder iron usually can make it work again. Of course you can put it back before doing anything else for testing purpose.

    Thread broke. When I pulled it out, it brought a little piece of “sticky backed soft brush”. What is it and where does it go on the machine?

  • @vickdegiorgio2151

    Likely is part of the bobbin winder or the thread cutter, both of which have those brushes.
