Our Peugeot 207, 1.6 ran fan for 3 min after engine was off. Turned out it only needed fresh spark plugs as a few had excessive carbon buildup

Correct me if wrong but 1.6hdi has DPF and only diesel have dpf, regular gasoline cars do not. Only gasoline cars have spark plugs.

Dpf is for Diesel but it mimics upstream lambada sensor in gasoline 207

have just replaced fan on my peugot partner van.still have the running on problem (runs for 10\15 mins after turning off engine.already killed one battery,is the fan supposed to be 2 speed high and low as new fan only runs high speed,mechanic who fitted it says its only 1 speed.

How this action help to solve the fan problem?? These are different systems..

I have a citroen ds4 with the 1.6 petrol engine. This also worked. Thanks to this video and then your comment that pushed my confidence to do it.

My radiator fan is currently continuously running when I turn the key on my car to power and run. When I turn off the car the fan runs for a about 3 seconds then shuts off. The shop I have it at is saying it need a new computer which I don’t believe. It has a check engine light but the code says reprogram drivetrain control module that’s all nothing about a fan. What’s your thought ? I changed the temperature sensor and swapped the fan just in case the module had a short. The relay seems in great condition. 2001 dodge stratus se 3.0 I told the shop the computer is fine. It may need to be flashed.

One of the symptoms of a potential problem with the cooling fan resistor is cooling fans that stay on at all times. If the resistor shorts or fails, it can cause the cooling fans to stay on even when they are not supposed to. In certain cases, the cooling fans may even stay on when the vehicle is turned off, and will create a large parasitic drain that will eventually kill the battery.

Hi please advice I've got 2012 peugeot 3008 1.6 A/T vti petrol my fan allowys on while driving sense starting the engine and when I switched the engine off the fan stay for 5 on then it's off and the battery many times died please help and the car taking so much petrol, thank you

I've seen coolant fan relay on the fan outer case (follow the wire from the fan motor)

Is this ok for peugot 407 1.6hdi dpf?
