Cross-contour lines in drawing is a practice that is helping us become more observant about the objects we draw
and showing us how to best represent their three dimensionality on a two-dimensional surface.
Contour is a French word that means outline, and a basic contour drawing is essentially an outline of an object.
The focus of contour drawing is the outlined shape of the subject rather than the details.
Contours are used to depict the mass and volume using simple lines.
These lines convey three-dimensional depth, length, width, space, distance, and perspective.
And then, in the next video, we’ll be having some examples and do some advanced drawings to explain how you can implement this in your actual drawings.
