How to: design a lighting layout. DO NOT divide before you do this---

When I lay out lights I always set the outside ones first, close to the ends. Then I will center or divide evenly in between that. Most people want to just divide evenly and call it good from the start but you will find that your walls and outer edges are much darker than if you place the first 2 close to the walls.

Good to see how others do it, I'm the same way , I'll pull in from the walls much less than the spacing between the lights. I can't stand lights looking like they are crowded, I usually have a pretty good vision on the finish product when roughing in. 75% of the time it's me doing the layout. Most customers trust me since I do it every day.
