How To Deliver Brand Style Guides
After a few good years of collaboration, our relationship with Corebook (and this deal) has ended.
What hasn't ended, though, is the need for a thorough and quality style guide for every brand identity engagement. And we've got you covered there. The Style Guide kit is everything you need to create brand styleguides for your clients - we've even done the writing for you.

What's the best way to send style guides to your clients? How do you get your clients to ACTUALLY use style guides?
The most common method right now, and the method that I've used for years is to simply design the style guide in a program like InDesign or Illustrator. -- Maybe even use the template from the Style Guide kit to get things rolling. Then export a PDF and then you'd send this PDF along with all of the logo files over to the client using something like Dropbox or Google Drive.
What if I told you there's a better way to do things? A way to deliver a style guide that's super easy for you as a designer to create, but also really easy as a client to use?
I think that this is where creating a web-based brand style guide really shines.

This video wasn´t about how to deliver a Brand Style Guide, it was about how Corebook works. Well...AMAZING!!
Man, if there's one thing I've learned from running my own channel, branding is so awfully important. Thanks for sharing Futur! ❤ - Migue
Wow, thank you so much! I cannot express enough how grateful I am that The Futur is putting out content like this. This is so helpful to self-taught designers, I really appreciate it
HECK YES! Just when I'm finishing off the brand guide's tedious process. Thank you Ben. This is golden, it made my day 💙
I couldn't stop saying "wow!" throughout the video... This is mindblowing!
Oh this is phenomenal. Caught myself hanging on to every word & pausing to read everything lmao! LOVE that delivery folder. Especially the discovery session recap! Thank you guys so much.
Love it. A touch spendy, but looks super customizable. So many ways to do this these days - Gingersauce, Visme even Canva et al - really a wide range to produce something useful for clients. What a great time to be a designer.
All about that zoom in! Too good, too accurate 🤣
Brilliant video. Thanks so much Ben for the run through! I'm a graphic+fashion designer switching into the brand identity space and these tools are super helpful. Thank you Ben + The Futur for your generous content!

Very good video. I like how it is loose, funny yet very friendly and informative. Just keep up the great stuff! :)
Mannnn this is gonna change the GAME! Thanks for this!
whew! man, how I missed this series. Glad to pick it up from where we ended last time.
This was amazing. I would love to see a scaled-down version for the freelance/small business. It's a little out of touch for most clients I work with when you add up the costs, particularly after hand-off to the client, but the concept and bells and whistles are amazing.

Exactly what I was thinking. This is for the established designer who has deep pocket clients. Was bummed when half way through it was a “buy this product to make life easier”.. Unfortunately my clients don’t have the budget for me to justify this expense.

Exactly what I was thinking! Genius method, but for those who do branding as a side hustle and have a client every say.. 3 months, it's a quite costly solution. Maybe a solution where you pay per styleguide could be implemented? That would we awesomeness overload!

YES! You guys always deliver so much value, thank you! I got the Brand Style Guide kit a few months ago and it has added so much value to both the client and me, best investment you could make. I was looking for something like this, something new, this is perfect! #thefuturisamazing

Ouch, I feel like there's quite a story about that 3am t-shirt email lol. Great to see more content featuring you Ben. Cheers and Happy New Year
Let's gooo! We clearly, as designers or any service provider, need to not only just create stuff BUT also educate our client on HOW TO USE IT properly. Also, Ben, come on! HAHhahahahahhah that was a shameless plug 😂💯

@@mrbenburns not gonna lie, this plateforme looks really dope. I've already implemented the idea of presenting, or should I say, keeping the presentation for a client on a personal page that only him and I have acces on my website. Now with this, it will only skyrocket the quality and convenience of the work that is done for the client. Not even talking about what the client will feel and how good the referrals will be 🙏🏽

Great video. Just one thing - You might want to add an SVG filetype to the export list as it is more common and supported by browsers for vector logos in webpages and in apps.
Gracias Ben. Also hi i'm just here to help the almighty algorithm. Thanks for the content.
8:13 soooo relatable 😂 awesome video man. I've been using the future style guide template for half a year or so and delivered multiple projects using it, and always got great feedback from it. Now I'm thinking to might upgrade my style guide again since web based style guides make so much sense if you think about it! No more emails about where to find a certain type of logo or hex code from a color. Thanks for letting us all now about that!! Cheers mate

this is great Ben - thank you. we got the Style Guide pack last year - has it been updated for current users?

No crazy updates, just typos, etc
New year blessings
Corebook looks amazing, But it requires a subscription and that’s a disadvantage. This is an added expense on the designer or the client. Unless you’re designing a guide for a large client, most clients are not gonna agree to pay that $99 per month. That’s a very steep price if you ask me
I'm absolutely giving it a try. I only have two questions. 1) I can have as many client guidelines I need to, right? 2) Are they all public links, or can I have it private only for my clients to use?
Love this and I can't wait to try it, Ben! I couldn't locate it on the academy account. Can you direct me to where I can find this?

I'm a learner at brand design & I'm really confused about 1 thing. Why do you need to update a style guide and what do you update mostly? Like do you update the colors of logo? Or the spacing? Like what? Could you plz elaborate? Thank you so much for this amazing contents! 🥰

Hi, good video. It's possible to export the corebook brand book to a pdf to store it? thanks
Eminem has been real quiet ever since Ben showed his true power here 8:13
I'd rather pay per style guide than a monthly subscription
We create style guides on keynote which is quite useful for template purpose and easily shareable. Is this different ?
Can we download a pdf version of the guide? For offline access.
Hi! I have a question: Is it correct or not, give a client the modifiable files of any project or depends? Like Logos, Posters, Ads, etc.
@thefutur
2 жыл бұрын
depends on what they need, what was agreed to, etc…
What if you stop your subscription, would it still be accessible by the client?
Do the clients have to pay to use the style guide or just to edit it?
What a fuckin' LEGEND thank you 🙏
Can you guys have a new season of “making a brand”? I feel like this one has run its course and you guys have been remarketing this a bit much
Are all fonts supported (as in if I’ve used a specific desktop font for a project and want to set the guidelines on this typeface, is this possible or do you have to use their presets or Google fonts when setting copy in the guidelines?

Very true. That's why, as we speak we are developing the CoreFigma plugin for integration to give teams a better context around brand assets and guidelines and involve more people who can access and give feedback at the right time.
Isn't it like Figma just more complicated ?

So this is like $100 usd to sign up just to create on it, after 3 months you pay $70usd monthly at which point by the way you cant PUBLISH ANY. In a years time you would have paid $800USD ALREADY, just to create on it. (Much better off just doing the upfront cost at that point for a lifetime deal) But.. the ABSOLUTE worst part is If you want to publish even ONE its another $100usd a month for a brand account or make your clients do that instead. At which point they're probably thinking, now you're making me sign up and pay to access my brand guideline.... for $100 EVERY MONTH?? I don't think ANY client would be happy about this. Am.. I missing something here...? Like I was expecting a decent cost of course, but the fact that we have to make the clients pay monthly fees on top for their guideline.. This is beyond messed up. They could make it a one time charge for each brand guideline you need published, that way you just up your fee a tiny bit to your client to make up for that.
@amphreded
Жыл бұрын
I tried their product (spent 99 through the deal here) and got 3 months subscription thinking there’s a way to pay extra prize for a one-time thing-nope there isn’t. Either you as an agency shoulders the cost or the brand owner will. Product itself is alright, but 1,188 usd a year my start-up client isn’t at that caliber.
This is basically an ad for corebook.
