There are always three speeches for every one you actually gave. The one you practices, the one you gave, and the one you wish you gave. The way you overcome shyness is to become so wrapped up in something that you forget to be afraid. Hi guys! It's me again :) You might have seen me before but my desire to inspire more people is what keeps me pushing to reach out more. We own a cookie shop business in our college town. When we first started it, we just graduated college and were living in our car with very little direction, just a huge passion to be successful. I started it out of a local bagel shop in their off hours at night with my boyfriend, Bran. It was a crazy experience but it worked! We became a success! And how we have our first storefront location (a second one currently under construction but launching soon!) We started it to fund a year long backpacking trip around the world and to be successful while living the life of our dreams.

GREAT timing! 🙌 I am speaking at my own event this week and am in the process of creating a keynote. THANK YOU for sharing; "How make a GREAT speech." 1.) The number of life truths in your speech. Share the wisdom in people's hearts and minds. (about 5 of them). People then think "YES, that is so TRUE." Make phrases people can relate to. 2.) Enthusiasm. Generate and create it even if you are scared. When your fear becomes secondary to sharing your message it will show. 3.) You must explain well your struggles before sharing your successes. People don't believe your successes until they can feel and know the hurdles you faced before achieving great success. 4.) Create unique experiences with your audience. Use call backs (getting people to respond). Have them interact with each other. 5.) The physical condition of your body and mind matters before you hit that stage. Have energy because it creates energy. You have to condition yourself! (take care of your health). Do the warm up stuff. Brendon's morning routine includes cardio then yoga, and before going stage 10 minutes of vocal warmups, then bouncing and breathing, etc! Loved this breakdown! THANK YOU. You are so authentic and give great practical insights that can be immediately applied. INFLUENCE is gained by... 1.) Teaching people how to think differently. 2.) Challenging them. (in every area of their life) Get them engaged. Ask them to raise their hand if that is true. And then challenge them to go out and do X, Y, Z... 3.) Being the role model (demonstrate excellence, joy, intention) Put it out there!

Your job is made much easier when the audience are there on their own free will. If it’s their passion, they’re more motivated. If it’s because they ‘have’ to be there because of work, less motivated. Different approaches for your target audience. I love speaking in front of an audience, it really gives me a natural high! Thanks for this Brendon. And you and Denise really are an inspirational team!

Interaction with the audience can really make all the difference. This video accurately recognizes all the touch points that are imperative for any speaker aiming center stage. Sharing personal struggles and successes' this makes the speech more convincing and engaging.

Got my performance planner Brendan and loving it. I've been blessed to give a few guest speeches. Sometimes it can feel like your all alone up there. When you are doing good, the audience is doing good, and you both can feed off each other's energy. Wishing you all the best.

This was fascinating, I love the point that to deliver a great speech you have to care for yourself first. This is totally true in all respects, to deliver great value, make sure you're in peak state yourself.

To you who's PIVOTING right now, stay connected to your essence. Do not fear because the energy that creates worlds is behind your back. Go with your flow and not someone elses. If your flow requires that you pivot, you go with it, with an open heart and an appreciative spirit. It's an adventure. Always. *Note to self, remember to look back at this specific comment next year at this time.

Yes! I'm doing a lot more speaking recently, on my channel and in real life. Cant wait to absorb this knowledge. And who better to hear it from than one of the most passionate and energetic sounding speakers around edit: This is gold material. Funny thing though... the "Create unique interactions with the audience", and the audience interacting with each-other goes down so much better in the US. Here in the UK, it kinda makes everyone feel super awkward. We are a reserved bunch. In 99% of cases, If you ask the audience to hug each-other, they'd look at you like "Errrr... really? Do I have to?" haha. Although, perhaps we need more of that to break through our stiff upper lip mentality ;)

Agreed with your sentiment here. I have been to a number of conferences where there was more ‘ra ra’ and energy in the UK, where it worked. In the main though, we are more reserved. When I speak I feed off the energy of the audience. If they are quiet then I tailor to their vibe. If they’re vocal and energised I also give more upbeat energy. Is a great feeling when you change someone’s thinking after presenting them something of value and they come up and tell you how they’ll implement what you gave them. Nice post. Thanks.
