FINALLY - some inspiration photos that could explain the look I had in my head but couldn't describe to my husband! THANK YOU!!! I have a love of white and simple elegance - my husband loves lots of wood and leather and wants a very rustic vibe for our newly built riverside cabin ( surrounded by woods). I assured him I could combine our two desired looks but lacked the words or photos until this video!! Love, love , LOVE this style and I SO appreciate all of your tips and inspiration. This is such a beautiful style Suzie! I LOVE a really simple, rustic wood console or table (for me, raw waxed wood ☺️) with an ornate antique giltwood mirror or beautiful giltwood accessory accompanying it. Such a stunning combination, and one of my favorite design looks for my own home. And lots of nubby, cozy pillows and textiles, light colors. ☺️☺️. This was another lovely lesson! Thank you!!

Thanks for this video. Little had I found on this blend of styles and this was fantastic guidance. My husband has many beautiful antique furniture pieces from his family that are dear to his heart. I lean towards a more sleek aesthetic and we live in a rustic cabin-like home with rough ceiling beams and all. It has been quite an adventure to blend the styles but gradually I had been finding what works. You provided some ideas and confirmed that some of my instincts were right. For example the mixing of rustic earthenware with sleek glass pieces, abundant use of linen and raw silk, using flowers and plants, fur like materias and mixed metals...it all brings it together. Love it!

I too am coming to terms with blending my style with my husband's in decorating our newly built riverside cabin - and this video really pulled it all together for me. It was SO helpful to have the words and photo inspiration to show my hubby too!

There’s so much to love with this style! I love so many styles, but this one has my heart, I think. Do you remember if you’ve covered ways to decorate a wood burning fireplace opening for the summer in any of your videos? They always feel like a black hole to me. lol

This one definitely has my heart too! We haven't yet done a video on that yet, however some ideas that come to mind are placing a grouping tall pillar candles, horizontally stacked old suitcases, a rattan or woven basket with dried flowers, piles of wood in a stylish wood basket, even some beautiful fire tools and screen can do wonders! These are just some ideas that comes to mind :) xx

I just discovered this style tonight! It covers everything I love! Thankyou for this video. - And I have to say, Thankyou for the music! Although most people probably didn’t realise there is music in the background. - Because it’s not blaring. It’s barely there! - I have earbuds in and had to strain my ears to hear the music…. That’s the way it should be. And what fantastic music, too! Yum! This is the first video with music, where both the volume of the narrator and the music is just perfect! To me, this completed the Lux look and feel. New Sub here.
