Such a gentleman, and his wife must be a special woman. Suzie, thank you for sharing! All that I could see was pleasing to the eye. It amazed me as well that he had a deep knowledge of antiques, as well as good design taste .... that fire place looked inviting as well. One of my favorite parts of the interview was the story about James and his father installing the carpet runner on the staircase. In his eyes, I could see that he was filled with joy and appreciation for the labor of love. Again, thanks!
Hello @Fanouvvi, thank you for your appreciation of the video and James styling. In fact, it was actually the entire staircase that James and his Father built together. A 500 hour labour of love...it truly is beautifully crafted! The fireplace was a very welcomed highlight of my stay....accompanied by that cheese board! Love his philosophy of first being visually/aesthetically attractive before considering the practical function of the place. His manor reflects this where I bet every corner is well thought of and visually pleasing. Even the cheeseboard looks great. That shows how much he values his guests. Thank you for sharing, Suzie! Hi lovely Markell! It's so nice to hear from you! The weather here has been quite cold!! I can imagine it's really hot in Houston right now. Regarding the linen fabric bed you mentioned it looks like a quality Egyptian cotton, you can often find similar styles at home decor stores or online retailers like Pottery Barn, or West Elm. In Australia we have large retailers like David Jones or Myer that stock a variety of brands. They usually have a good selection of linen fabric beds. I hope this helps!
