I've watched hundreds of cake decorating videos and frosted a few cakes myself. It never turns out as smooth as it should and I always get frustrated. Thank you so much for telling the whole truth....you have to thin the frosting after the crumb coat! It makes such a difference!!!

You are amazing. When I watch someone else presentations I see they are using turntable, or other tools that I do not have. But you showed me how to make amazing cake with no need for those additional stuff. Thank you!!!!!

Watch Preppy Kitchen, all the info u need. Cool your cake before crumb coating. Use a small amount of frosting in a separate bowl. Clean off spatula, on side of bowl, and with a paper towel as u go. Chill before second frosting

Hi, here is the recipe for the buttercream Ingredients 450g butter (room temperature) 1020g Icing sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla 3-4 tbsps milk

You can still frost the cake without chilling. But chilling the cake before adding the second layer of frosting makes it much faster.

Hey , based on my info , the cake should be in the fridge or cold , so when you put the frosting, the crumbs don’t go out
