I started with 1 plant in a big pot. Over the years it got so full of bulbs i took half the bulbs out many times now. It was so full of bulbs had to take some out so there is room to grow. Gave all the extra bulbs to a friend even the tiny ones. They all came up the following year for her. So for many years we both have tons of lilly bulbs multiplying. Over the years I've removed bulbs everytime my pot is too full of bulbs. Love growing all types of lillies they multiply very fast. They flower every year & are sooo beautiful. Appreciate your videos & tips. Ive always deadheaded once the flower dies. Have always left the leaves until they die off. Mostly because it looks good still as a green plant. Didn't realize but i have been doing it right all along good to know!!❤❤❤

Exactly the same way as the lilies. Check out also my other deadheading videos
Great info. I have a question, please. What are the round, black seed like things I'm finding sitting on the leaves? Are they seeds too. Can I grow lilies from these? Thank you

They are probably just the spent make parts. Your best bet for getting me lilies is to deadhead and let the bulbs split into new ones, ready around October

Those are called bulbils, I seen them this year when I tried growing tiger lillies, Google them they are seeds basically baby plants but says if you plant them it can take at least 2yrs for them to bloom, interesting information.

@@fancygirl822 yes, it is! Thank you. Wow! 2 years.
I knew there was to do this but wasn’t sure how. I’ve seen cut lilies so I never how the seeds were made. Unfortunately I broke off stem because that’s how you keep hibiscus blooming and growing out 😞 will the stem grow back before the fall? Or have ruined it?

Hibiscus is a bush whereas lily is a bulb. But no problem: let it be until next year and it will bloom again!

@@nomadimitri Well that part makes me a little sad 😅 on the other hand, I’m very happy I found your channel before I broke the other stems.
When all of the leaves wither and turn yellow, are you supposed to cut the stem of the plant? If so, how far down to the ground do you cut it?

You don't need to, you can just let it wilt and self-compost

I just made my first KZread short video on a beautiful flower. If you are interested, chick here: kzread.infofHvnPB54Ch0
I deadheaded my lilies. Will I receive another bloom this summer? The plant itself is still healthy.

I just received asiatic lilies as a gift. I’m planning on potting them and keeping them indoors. I’ve seen that they need to be in cold during the winter months. Should I deadhead them and put them in my garage for the winter months and then bring them back inside?

This assumes that you planted from a bulb. Many videos on lilies show splitting the bulbs to grow many lilies. Have to point out this caveat. If you had planted your lilies from part of the bulb, this won’t work

I split my bulbs all the time. No difference between bought bulb and split bulb.
