    Wow this was 4months ago! Wow. Today I finished the conversion. I'm NOT LIABLE for any accidents or injuries, of person or persons or body or bodies, and or vehicles. if you use any parts or methods used in this comment . Buy the bracket drill template. And the wheel drill template. The seller of the Bracket ,sells.It will save you hours. Also I bought stainless brake hose from Zcar depot , also summit racing and other sell it. But ALWAYS , support Z car parts sellers first, so they can stay in business to sell you those Datsun Z only parts. The part number is for a pair of stainless braided hose. Stop Tech # 950.42506 The banjo bolts in the brake hose kit Are Not The Right Thread. A Dorman GM # 13940 fit the mustang caliper perfectly. I used the copper washers that came with the reman Mustang caliper ,I bought in the description in this video. There are also copper washers in the SS brake Hose kit. With this hose kit and the Dorman banjo bolt , I didn't need any brake line adapters. I have Z car Depot, front Toyota Big Brake ,vented rotor kit in the front. So these large pad ,vented rotor Mustang Brakes. Gives me vented discs all four corners. I already had a 1" wilwood Master for a brake up grade was on the drawing board, long ago. I'm still assembling my car and to finish body work. So no driving impressions. Today.

    awesome video brotha!!! I'm building my 75 280z at the moment and am researching rear brake set ups. I went with the Toyota s12+8 calipers up front, if I use this rear brake setup which master cylinder would be best? and did you also change out your proportion valve?

    That brake caliper looks very similar to a Mazda MPV (4 cylinder engine, 2005 year model) caliper. But then Mazda and Ford share a lot of parts.

    @240RBZ Thank you for the feedback. I'm going to run this setup on my 240z running a small block Chevy 350. Just that I'm going to upgrade the master cylinder from a 280zx or Wilwood and probably go with mild to aggressive rear brake pads. I'll probably also modify the bracket to get the e-brake to work.

    Watched to end, and got my answer that this rear conversion will work on 14" wheels. But then you said that "front Toyota calipers don't fit" with a 14". I assume your front disk conversion was different, since you used Ford calipers for this conversion. Would the Ford calipers also work in the front and allow for a 14" wheel?

  • @240RBZ

    @240RBZ

    Ford rear caliper will fit 14in wheels, I have Toyota 4Runner front which only allow 15in+. If you go with a Toyota Pickup S12-8 non vented in the front it should fit some 14in, you may have to shave the caliper 3mm or use a space to fit.
