That's a disaster! you should practice feeling the beat. Listen to any salsa song counting 123 567. it should feel like second nature. After that start to dance

@@Lucyart I know, I‘m quite good at it, but it happens sometimes. I’m just exploring methods to turn back to the beat by avoiding discomfort. And it’s not a disaster at all! The real issue is dancing with a lady who has this mindset and forgets about the kind, patient gentlemen who were patient with her when she was a beginner.

When I lose the beat I can do two things: Break up and do some loose dancing and when I have it again, partner up again. Or in the dile que no position I do something which does not require stepping, some upper body stuff only and step on the one again.
