EAT THE PAPER!! That’s a level of commitment a father should always provide to a son and a son should always take on! Beautiful jam and story!

This is the wildest channel! This song made me cry; I lost my dad last year. After he died, my cousin sent me a bunch of photos of them at nightclubs from back before I was born, tearing up the dance floor in a suit. He definitely was a hit at weddings.

Damn, I didn't know this thing could make full songs like that. Most people do boom bap type beats. This thing is like a daw in a box, but without getting too complicated.

Your dad and I, cut from the same cloth. At a music festival, had two DJ friends that were going to be playing on different stages at the same time. They started arguing about who’s going to have me dancing at their stage. It devolved into bribery, which I took as a compliment. In the end, I went to both. If there was ever a scenario where people were not dancing, I’d get it going. Not a very technical dancer either, just good vibes for everyone. 🕺

I like this groove. It has a feeling familiar of a place I have never stepped my foot too, a place I have never seen with my eyes, a place I could not describe, yet it’s a place I know of and everything that has ever happened their, and lived there in all of my days where I have never been born. Nice 👍

My dad always had to dance to Proud Mary at every family wedding. He was not a skilled dancer either but he always committed to it & it became expected by everyone else there. I totally get it. Great story and jam

@@ClarkeJaxtonMotorbike Thanks for the tips - especially where the bass comes from: the very long sustain got me confused about whether it was a bass, pads or some layering of both, especially with the shifting effects. I usually start with a bass line too, but I have yet to experiment with something that long - my go-to are short. Also, your lively addition of transient effects makes me want to play with the MPC's XYFX's beat repeat and tape stop ! Also, shaker for more dancier ? Hmmm - never thought about it... Sounds like it works. Technical bits aside, I just really enjoy this track !

It's a stereo splitter going into my interface. I don't need the split here, but the ends of the splitter are 1/4" jacks which saves me having to dig around for an adapter.

@@ClarkeJaxtonMotorbike I see now, thanks! Do you play keys? Like have you tried a setup with KO + S1 + midi keyboard, how is the routing done, tips and quirks? Frankly speaking, I recently got my KO II and sincerely planning to get away from the PCs by starting a dewless production phase in my music making adventures, and given I have midi keyboards and have always been loving synth sounds and vibes, planning to get a "pocket" synth to start out with, like the one you have or the MicroMonsta 2 (still need to decide).

@@ClarkeJaxtonMotorbike I haven't yet had a chance to play around to much with KO II from yesterday but based on youtube videos I see people including you mostly enjoy using KO as midi controller, but I think for connecting my next tiny operator (AKAI mpk mini play) to it to be able to play keys with it, I will need to get a midi host, I don't see another option so far unfortunately, saying unfortunately because I wouldn't really like to add a third-party device in order to midi in into KO.
