How to cut plates for mosaic-making Wednes 10 Aug 2016
Debbie made a call to Dr Mosaic to come over and help her sort out her wall creation! We have created a garden theme using Debbie's starting point, of blue china crockery and extended it. All good fun!
In this film, I show how I cut crockery, specifically plates using a Silberschnitt Easy Grip Carbide Glass Cutter, a score snapper and a tile cutting side biter: show how to adhere onto a wall using a caulking glue: in fill crockery pieces with instant grab tile adhesive.

Awesome ladies. I always buy 2nd hand China in blue and white patterns. out of all colors its my favorite. I never thought of grouping it all just blue and white for a special project like yours . thanks for video !

Need to first fill in more behind underneath those plates better lasting integrity stabilize safe guard of those ceramic plates on that wall ..use cement ..

I use a side biter tile nipper.... take a look at my Playlist section under How I Mosaic there's a filmette on using them to cut tiles.

The client finished it, I only helped at the beginning! This was created 5 years ago... trust me the latest filmettes do have an end to them !!! 😉

Peggy Woolsey I've got crockery mosaics over 5 years old in my garden and all doing well.... just saying! And not to mention Gaudi's mosaic ceramics that are 100 years old!!!

Hello Amanda thank you for your opinion. The thing is I enjoy using my crazy voices... I can't being enthusiastic about mosaic and it comes out this way..... there's far too much seriousness and sadness in the world... laughter is my preferred learning style. All the very best for 2019 to you 😘
