How To Cut Pineapple Without Waste - Morgane Recipes

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I have always seen my family and Laotian people cut pineapples in the same way. This method gives the pineapple a nice shape and reduces the waste of its flesh.

Love the goal of minimal waste. Watched another cutting tutorial and my jaws dropped at the casual tossing of so much good stuff. Yours is the more respectful way of treating the fruit. Thank you for sharing! And what cleaver presentation at the end!

This is a traditional way of cutting and serving pineapple in Thailand, Laos, and perhaps some other Asian countries too. So respect a culture, perhaps learn a technique too. We buy these beautifully sliced pineapples on the street, for little money, and it is a real pleasure to eat such a work of art. Great video!!!

Was in Barbados and bought a pineapple from a man walking the beach. This is how he carved it except he left the crown on and held it while he trimmed the sides and cut the eyes out. He then sectioned it bottom to top, slid it in a plastic bag and then cut the top off. Best pineapple I ever had in my life. Believe it or not, the core is edible and very very sweet if it's allowed to ripen on the plant.

Thank you for such a helpful video you just saved me lots of time, and more importantly lots of pineapple, because I eat them almost every week. I was wondering if there was a better way to cut them without so much waste and now I know, can't wait to give it try.

My grandma used to cut it exact the same way when i was a kid and I found it interesting. Shez no more now but the cutting method got stuck in my memory. Now when I grew up I do it the same way, I remember her whenever i cut a pineapple.😇

The core is my favorite part of the pineapple. I slice it thin and save it for myself while the kids are eating the regular part of the pinapple.

Excellent. I just tried this for myself. It helps prevent waste for sure. It gave me anxiety though because it took forever and I just wanted to eat the pineapple lol. Also the thumbnail is slightly clickbait because I thought the lady was going to show how she cut the core like that but it seems in this case the core/hard parts were only removed AFTER it was sliced into quartets.. otherwise excellent tutorial

Why would it matter if the core is removed before or after cutting it apart? You'll have to do that anyway ...unless you want bite chunks off the whole thing.

Thank you very much for this tutorial. I finally peeled my first pineapple ever. I am from Mauritius, still living there and I have always eaten pineapples peeled the diagonal way but the merchants were always too fast for me to grasp what they were doing. So once again thank you.
