This works! The smoother and flatter you can get your hair to your head, and the tighter the hair tie, the better!! Use two thick rubberbands (better grip), one for the first tie at the base of the head, and the second about two inches lower for extra assurance the hair won't shift when you pull the hair forward to cut. and then just use a regular hair tie for your cutting guide so you can slide it to the right location

yes!!! it does work! I did it, then divided my hair down the middle and slid hand down to trim and even up the edges and I love it!

I did this 18 months ago. I was somewhere around middle back, and I cut it to about arm pit length. Except I didn't wet it, I just straightened it. It's a very clean cut, I only had to neaten up a few strays. I'm already back at hip length. I still use this method to micro trim 1.5cm off every few months.

Thanks for this video, my hair came out perfectly straight, saved me $30 at the hairdressers and it only took me less than 10 mins :)

I used this technique just now to cut my uneven haircut which I did yesterday. It turned out awesome!

I really like the look of this video...I am just terrified to try it on my self, I have ombre on the ends of my hair will it still look ok if I just trim a little bit of it off. And another thing, I have my hair on a side parting, would I still do the same method as you have shown us. By the way the accent is fine, there is nothing wromg with it I understood everything you have said

it works but you have to brush your hair wet and perfectly straight before you cut it

Brilliant. Just followed this and managed to take about 4 inches off the bottom and straight too. I used the scissors to cut into the ends vertically too to soften the edges.

I saw a video a couple of years ago and used it to cut my hair perfectly. Since then, I couldn't remember the video, so tried to cut it on my own, and I've butchered it twice. Thank you for this video. I'll try again once it grows out some. I trimmed and trimmed this last time trying to get it straight until it's almost up to my shoulders now from mid-length. I'm just devastated.
