How to cut coconut milk vanilla cold process soap (Part 2)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

As promised, here is the soap cutting video where I take the coconut milk vanilla cold process soap out of the mold after 18 or so hours. I cut 1 inch bars, and show you how smooth it is to slice these bars off the loaf. I LOVE how this batch turned out visually, and I cannot wait to try this out after it cures.
This is a beginners cold process soap recipe that anyone can do with the right amount of advanced preparation.
This is my first time substituting water for another liquid, and in this recipe I used 100% coconut milk from the can to make the lye solution. Because it is a milk based soap, I froze the coconut milk in advance to avoid scorching. I use non-discoloring vanilla fragrance oil, dispersed titanium dioxide for color, and topped it off with pretty dried rose petals.

Beautiful! Simple and elegant. I'm just figuring out fragrance oils, most of the time I'm using essential oils.

Thank you! I am also learning about FO and EO. I made a batch today that riced up super bad using the Rain FO. Whoops! Learned a few lessons from that one.

Did you put the soap in the refrigerator for a few hours since it contains coconut milk? I have a fear of using milk because I’m scare off volcanos or cracks

Yes! For this recipe because I used coconut milk I put it in my freezer. One time I forgot (like a dummy) and put it in the oven for CPOP and had lye pockets. I was so sad, I had to trash the whole thing. I have read that other soap makers have CPOPd with milk and no problem but I prefer not to mess around with anymore.
