Hi Budd, great work it looks fantastic! I've got a similar job coming up with solid walls, the room will need insulating on the inside, what battens and insulation did you use? Any chance you've managed to capture it on camera? Many thanks

I used 25x50 mm treated tile battens over 25 mm celotex, I don’t have footage I’m afraid, many thanks for watching, hope it helps , 👍👍👏

What a great job. Sitting here in my lovely 1930's house which the previous owners REMOVED all the picture rails and lovely original doors, room looks so out of proportion now.

Great info but made me feel really dizzy because of the camera movement.

We have just moved into a 1940s house in Australia which has picture rails! It was the norm back then. They are so useful. No holes in walls. Why was this practise stopped?! And any DIY store sells the picture rail hooks (Bunnings here in Oz).

Really glad you enjoyed the video, I think they stopped fitting picture rails because it was another way to save builders money , in the right property they look fantastic, once again thank you for watching, we are in Norfolk in the UK 👍👍👏
