I spent most of 1966 in Thailand (courtesy of my Uncle Sam) and we had Thai house girls (wives of Thai Army NCO's) that woke us up every morning to "you want pie apple"? I never realized how involved it was to cut a pineapple until I watched this lady - brought back many fond memories of the Thai people.

Thank you for a wonderful video...I'm gonna try your 2nd method...Pineapples were always a mystery to me...you solved it!!

My dear Ibibio people of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, never you feel shy of not being able to pronounce certain English words clearly because of your mother tongue intervention. Here's someone from another tribe with the same issue, yet not ashamed of herself. Lesson: English is not our language. Of what I can see on KZread, this is the most useful video to cut pineapples... here the woman offers a variety of options to cut the fruit so that it is ready to eat. If you have seen the Delish video on the Delish website of pineapple cleaning, it is so poorly done that it actually leaves the hard eyes (basically the embedded part of the outside skin) intact in the finished fruit. This woman here, offers 4 options for a cleanly finished fruit. Enjoy...
