I've also got very natural curly hair, and your video was so very helpful. I'm glad to see someone else who uses hairspray as a setting spray. My hair is not only curly, but it has a very fine texture. I also need to use a flat iron on mine to get rid of all the kinks before using a curling rod. Most people who have straight hair think that I'm so lucky to have curly hair, believing its easier to style. They have no idea how much work it can be, especially when you live in a humid climate. I'm going to take your advise and also see what products that you recommend. Your hair looks beautiful, and you're such a pretty young lady! Thank you! 😊

I actually have a flat iron which I don't use often (first I don't want to damage my hair too much and secondly I have so much hair, it's too much work😂), that's why I have the heat protectant product. But with the curling iron the heat has to be right for the curls to last so I feel like it's kinda trickier🤔. Straight hair is so much easier🙈. And thanks again, I just found your channel and immediately subscribed.😊

Rita Almusa Well I don't have curly hair, but it's not straight either. It's maybe just plain normal lol actually it's wavy (especially from the neck down), but not a lot and not beautiful those waves every girl dies for😂 (and I have SO much hair😩). That's why I can't wait to try such beautiful ones like these! I tried once but I failed hahaha they turned out just "ok" but they didn't last for long (I did it wrong :p ). And always straightening looks boring. Thanks for the tip on the hair spray too!! I'll take a look at that too. And for being so attentive

Is there a specific reason you hold the clamp open for this? I’ve seen a million tutorials were people use a curling iron as a wand but they just leave the clamp closed and use it as a wand. You’re the only person I’ve seen who holds it open. Just curious. Thanks in advance.
@RitaAlmusaBeauty
3 жыл бұрын
That's a great question. I personally get a little 'kink' in my hair where the clamp is when I use it as a wand. :) So, it could depend on hair type, for me it works better to leave it open. Maybe try both ways and see what you prefer.
if you're not using the clamp, couldn't you just keep the clamp onto the hot iron? Or does that affect the hot iron and the curl?
@RitaAlmusaBeauty
3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tiffany, that is a great question. For me, it leaves a 'crease' line where the clamp is on the iron. However, if you want to buy a wand without a clamp, they do make those. It's a habit for me now, so I just use a regular iron. Let me know if that helps. 💕

why don't you close the clamp on the curling iron?
@RitaAlmusaBeauty
12 күн бұрын
Great question, because it leaves a kink typically. And it flattens the curl, rather than a more natural one.
My hair is too thick and smooth and I didn't like it. It's hard to style and I somehow want dry hair but not too dry
@RitaAlmusaBeauty
3 жыл бұрын
Just be sure to use a heat-protector before you style, this will help if your hair requires extra heat to get dry.
Sometimes it looked as if you twisted the hair before you wrapped it around the iron & sometimes it looked like you just wrapped it flat around. Which is it or is it a combination of both?
@RitaAlmusaBeauty
4 жыл бұрын
That's a really great question, thank you. If I happen to grab a thicker grouping to curl, I will twist it a little to assist in getting a softer curl, that's not so 'flat' against the iron-look. I try to stay away from that perfect 'Goldie-Locks' look. Let me know if that makes sense.

It gets easier, the more you practice. I also have a newer tutorial on using a twist flat iron, and this helps to save about 20 minutes! You might really like that video. Let me know if you have any questions. 💕🙏🏻

The great thing is that I only have to do this once a week and it lasts a few days, so that's only 4 times a month, and I use a heat protector before I style. It makes a huge difference. My hair is super thick and healthy.
Ya didn’t show the end results on the back 🙄
Seriously am I the only one who checked out the prices for the product used. Who has that kind of money to drop on these things. 169 for the blow dryer. $50 for the curling iron. And $69 for the hair straightener and that’s not even including the products she used. I’d be the one to spend all that money and still not be able to pull off the hair style.

The thing about these products, it helps to find a friend that has a beauty license and they can help w that discount, also, the professional products last a lot longer because they’re highly concentrated so you get more value for your money. And long term, your health of your hair will improve. Hopefully that is helpful advice. ✨🙏
This is not ‘easy’. This is like, a two hour long hair procedure by your own calculations. Don’t get me wrong, you’re hair looks great, but this took you all night to do.

Liz Perry she her hi Liz, from start to finish it’s about 45 min (for my hair). I have really thick naturally curly hair, so it requires to completely straightened before I curl. However , I have a new tutorial on my channel where I’m using a twist iron that saves me a ton of time and I can get waves that last. 💕🙏
nahhhhh too much work
