How to curate a treasure box of scraps for junk journals & creative journaling workshop
Ойын-сауық
Hi all, hope you enjoy this look at how I curate a treasure box of scraps as I prepare for our next creative journaling workshop.
Creative journaling workshop for ladies 18 and over: Wednesday 26 June, 11am, via zoom. This will be Tuesday night for those in the US. Be sure to check the time conversion for your time zone. I am Brisbane time. We will be doing a creative exercise and some journaling prompts for self-discovery, care, and growth. You don’t have to show your face or speak, and you never have to share if you don’t want to, but there will be space to share your work if you are looking for connection and community as well.
How to register: Paypal $5US to wordslikesilk@gmail.com and leave your name and email in the note so I can send you the link to the zoom workshop. Aussies are welcome to direct deposit.
What to bring: A magazine for cutting up, treasure scrap and textiles if you have them, scissors, glue, pen and notebook.

Just love all your scraps Juni, music paper is my favorite too. Your wooden box looks really old, love this. I have so many bits & pieces in my stash it can be over whelming at times, you have to do a random cull and clean every now & then, this sometime prompts me to make something on the spot, sorting inspires me to use my scraps. Thanks Juni. xxx

Thank you so much!
When you talk about bugs eating ephemera and scrapbook items, it reminds me that you live in Australia:) We tend not to have that issue here in the Eastern part of the US.

In the future I’ll do some workshops at other times to try to meet different time zones and schedules. Is there a time/day you prefer?

Tuesday morning is good for me ❤
Love this! One of my favorite vidoes actually. I've kept some items I don't love, and when I use them I'm not happy with the results. 😑 Time to make some choices! Do you keep items that are more "focal pieces" separate? TFS!

Aww thank you so much! I don’t tend to keep focal pieces separate but just in categories of paper type
