I have long hair and tried this method but somehow I still wound up without enough hair to cover the ends at the top. 🤣😅 My hairstyling skills are clearly lacking. I love this hairstyle for getting your hair off your neck on hot or windy days though.

Hi.Btw that doesn't look like short hair to me,but you can call it that if you want.

I don't understand why you don't just continue the Dutch braid instead of starting a new one. Either way you are working with the same area of hair and should have the same volume of hair to make it look bigger across the top but if you continue the Dutch braid, you don't have to hide the connecting point or the other braid.

Because the hair is shorter, as you bring the braid around the other side, little bits of hair start popping out. This way stops that happening 😊
