Everybody falls. Even the best skaters. Dont beat your self up over falling. Unless you hit the ground and stop moving, your not falling, your just dancing

Jesse Elliott when u get comfortable, especially in a skating rink you usually stop following and get used to learning new tricks, ya everyone falls but it's not scary, especially when u have skated for as long as this woman has

Beginner Skater here. When I fell face forward in the skating rink I did not want to get back up but an older lady told me that is when you get up and keep skating or else I may lose my desire to skate. When I saw Indy (my daughter's nickname) fall I began to wonder how many falls may she have already taken and yet she is still skating.

How are you doing now? I love skating and I’m also a beginner! I’ve been skating for about 2 months and I still have a lot to learn but I feel like I’m improving quickly

@@spiny2467 I apologize for responding so late. How are you doing? I just saw your reply. So, we have not been able to go to a skating rink lately. But I think that I may have to invest in my very own pair of skates and try outdoor skating. Yes, I am nervous that I may come back scraped, battered, and bruised, but it is okay because my skates will be worn a little. I find that after a while in the rink, the wax from the floors sticks to the wheels of the skates hence the reason for my initial fall.

Growing Humbly and Beautifully five months on, have you got back on your skates? I think falling is the best part, it shows people that I’m still learning and have so much room to improve, and anyone who was watching can get a kick out of me laughing at myself. I go out every day and skate for about an hour and a half, and in that time I haven’t fallen over then I feel I’m not pushing myself hard enough or getting out of my comfort zone. Just one tip for falling, always bend your knees so it’s not as far of a Fall dad
I so appreciate the slow motion and the simple breakdown. I've watched skating totorials where they go so fast that I am as lost after watching as I was before I watched. Thank you also for catering to us "newbie" skaters who are just trying to get the basics and are no where's near doing anything "fancy". Just trying to stay up, not break a bone and 'look cool' while I do it not mechanical. 👍👍⛸

It happens. You gotta get up. You gotta try it again. ❤️
I've been trying to figure out how to do this in my own time, but I think I'll really get it nailed down thanks to this tutorial! Beautiful job, guys :)
Now i know you're cold! 😂 but thanks for bareing the cold for us hahaha And im happy to know now that thebroads outside southbank centre are skatable 🙌🏾🙌🏾😬
I feel like my thighs are so damn big that it’s harder to cross my legs over without tilting my skate and that’s what causes me to lose my balance and fall 😩
This is an awesome video! Having confidence and continuous practice is key to mastering any skill. Great job ladies!
this helps a lot! and thank you for actually showing that she fell while learning- everyone always makes it look so easy and then you feel hella discouraged when you eat asphalt trying it out!
Needed this so much!! thanks!❤️🥳
Everything is broken down so beautifully. Thanks for the video! One of my faves
Beautiful sunset! This is actually something I trying to learn right now!!
Loved the video! I would also love a beginner backwards skate video!
Can’t wait to try this! Anxiously awaiting my impala roller skates!!
I just want to thank you so much personally I have now learnt to do this using this video because you broke it down and explained it so simply, it looks complex but its simpler than it looks thank you!
I love these girls so much!!!
I really like this video thanks it makes me just wanna get out there and try again!!
She explains this so well!! Best learning video for backwards crossovers!❤
I first watched this a couple of months ago. Now I can skate backwards like a champ. It’s so easy thanks to this tutorial. :-)
I love everything about this video ✨
Good video and helpful I’m new to skating and really trying to get good at it in order to be able to skate and enjoy it with my kids
Child my heart was pounding watching you. I am so proud of you for getting up again and showing this video. I tried about 2wks ago to skate and honey a screw from the gate caught the wheel. Needless to say it on;ly got the white meat of my middle finger. Skating is like flying, faith, and time. and much work, with muscles you don't normally use walking. Keep me in prayers child, keep me in prayers.
Thanks so much to upload this video ! I'm gonna try this tomorow.!
This video was great for me! I love skating and I’m hoping to be a professional one day. Skating is such a stress reliever for me! And at first I couldn’t even skate backwards this taught me to skate backwards and crossover
I LOVE WHAT YALL DOING. ALL THE WAY FROM CHICAGO WIT IT!
One day I will get to this level! Keep rolling! 😎✌️
Best tutorial ever. I can’t wait to try this move.
Y’all are the best teachers, tysm!
Great vid 👍👏 I am going to try this on inlines!!
Fock yeah! I love this video and the information in it!! This seems like an easier way to learn crossing over to me. I'm open to learning things that are taught in new ways for those of us who need it broken down differently:-)
They make it look so easy lol. I just got my skates and can’t wait to start learning!!!!!!!
Thank you for showing the fall. It helps me. ♡♡ Great video.
Such a great way of speaking to the camera and teaching. I'm a Londoner who has lived in a few cities in the UK. I can vouch for the roads not being flat and well maintained. 😅 Thanks for sharing.
got out there and tried this today! definitely takes PATIENCE and PRACTICE!
Just ordered my first ever pair of skates i cant wait to skate in the fall. Cardigans,Coffee and Skating
dawwwwhhhh the sunset is pretty !!
I just LOVE that you kept it real, “fall; it happens, just get up and try again”. Thank you 👌👌👌
Enjoyed this. 💛💙
You both look so amazing. 🤩🤩

Yay you did it!!

Thanks indy!!
This bring back memories from Hyde park to trafalger square when we used to rule the skating scenes in london.
Wow. Where are the views and comments?!?! I love u, indy!!! Great vid as always
I’m exited that people skate in England!!!
I don’t even have quad skates. I use inlines. But I can’t stop watching these videos 😭 they make skating look so fun and cute!
i'm 32 too - i was like omg yay one of my own lol & i love the carousel in the background! great vid & looking forward to practicing this 🦇💖
The WU sweater is GIVING 🤌🏽✨

Not a bad complaint to have
Yesterday I wasn’t ready for crossovers but today after the help a a friendly person I figured it out! 😃
I can do the crossover backwards skate, as I taught myself as a child, but to do backward speed skating is a challenge. I love skating....its my thing lol... I used to do skating tricks when I was younger 😂😂😂😂 I wouldn’t dare try it now though. I love watching all the roller skating videos.....makes me all warm inside 😇😍😇😍😇😍😇
I might have to go skating there 😍
Interesting how skating and rollerblading has made a comeback in 2020, its fun and good exercise, I was obsessed with my rollerblades in the 90’s and was always skating but it’s been so long I don’t even know if I can still skate and would probably bust my butt lol unless it’s like driving, you never forget
Thx !!!! ❤️
thank you for keeping quads on the map!! experience and technique is crucial + the right skate setup can make you roll better on different surfaces. I'd like to know what bearings, wheels and plates Ishariah and Sojourn are wearing for this vid?

amazingly beautiful!
Stand in place and bend cross up…brilliant!!!!! This might be the game changer for me🤞! N
They make it look so easy, still trying to learn how to skate foreword!
It looks so easy and I always struggle doing this. But i will practise it every time when I'm on my skates. Another 2-3 weeks and it will be settled.
The music is beautiful
LOL.... you made me laugh! Sometimes I'm so good and other times I'm falling on the ground just like you did here... ha ha
Excellent tips
Love the outfit 🥰

No its cuz were mesmerized by your beauty!🤣🍻🌈👍😎 that's what got me anyway 🥳💐🎊🎉I was so mad I missed my derby class today, then I found you! My day is as beautiful as you are now!!!❤thanks for teaching us!!!😇your an angel
Woooohooo way2go...great vid for 411
I would love to skate with you anytime. I have not skated in years though. But I used to be damn good. I used to jump over the limbo stick instead of going under at least till I split the axle on a pair of roller derbys.
You doing it 😉😉😉😉😉 am happy for u time for me to pratice
Thank you for the good video 👍 👍 👍
I’m going to try that!!! It helps to see a skater fall too. I’m so scared to fall, but I feel like I can’t be so scared if I want to lift my leg and cross it over
i’ve been there before, that carousel is quite fun.
Great tutorial sorry side note Your outfit is so adorable love it
beautiful girls!!!! 😍😍😍
Beautiful ladies ✌🏾
Sooo, I’m just now getting back into skating and I usually wear my hair out naturally like the two lovely ladies in this video. Does anyone have any tips of what to do with my hair so I can use a helmet? Or maybe can we get a video on what to do when you have bigger/thicker hair and how to fit it in your helmet?

I'm natural aswell 😁🧡. You show try cornrowing the top of your hair and hair a puff bun at the bottom as it gives the illusion that your hair is out! Good luck 🤞🏾💞.

Does Sojourn have her own channel? I could watch her all day :)
That fall @6:25 was in slow motion 😂😂
I love her dress
One day I shall skate too✨😎
I want skates so bad, I am planning on getting the pink lemonade beach bunny skates but I'm not 100% sure my feet have stopped growing so I don't want to spend the 150 and then grow out of them. Should I just get a bigger size than I need and wear a thicker sock or something?
Love the energy and vibe of you both, so adorable...thanks for the great tips, I'm gonna try this tonight 😊 #SkateDay47
These ladies are lovely!
god this video got so so much hate, i’m so sorry! anyways i loved the video and even if her technique isn’t considered ‘correct’ by some people it still works and i’m still learning
