This stitch is so beautiful. Please, make a table runner, place mats and the bowl holder for microwave dishes. That would be a great Christmas gift. Thank you for sharing.
I love how easy and simple this design is. Will try it for sure. Thank u for making such beginning friendly videos
I love this stitch pattern! To make a quick fringe, wrap the yarn around a piece of cardboard for the length required. Cut the yarn on one end of the cardboard. The lengths will be the same and so less waste 😊
I know the stitch as an extended single crochet. Love the project!

How many chain for placemats?
This is so cozy🥰😍
Hi I made this and looks amazing. Thank you 🙏🏼
Its beautiful. Going to make
I’m definitely going to crochet 🧶 this mug rug! Thank you for a delightful project! 🧶💕
These are cute as a button! I love learning a new stitch. Only aside I have is for cutting the strands for the fringe wrap it around a piece of cardboard or something the correct length and then just cut the ends sides/where it warps to get a bunch of the same length stands. Xmas presents this year might include super cute mug rug coaster sets. Thanks for a great video!

Do you know how large chain stitches for a placement. Like this stitch but don’t know how to start or how much yarn I would need,
Beautiful stitch I am going to make a long table runner🥰

Very nice, thank you for sharing 😊
These are great thank you
I know someone else said an extended single crochet, but that isnt an extsc. it looks more like a tiered down half double stitch, or a half a feather stitch. an extended sc is pull up a loop, chain that loop, then close the stitch. Either way, it is a lovely pattern. Thank you so much.
These are so cute! I was wondering if you sprayed them with starch, but I guess in using all cotton yarn, you don't really need to. Thank you for also providing a free written pattern. It helps for those of us who not only learn visually, but also need to read the directions.🙂

You're very welcome! And to answer your question, no, I didn't use starch :)
love it! for some reason i was having issues pulling through all three left on the hook, the second loop was hard for me for some reason! :( i love the design so much!
Just made one thank you so much... christmas gifts this year
So cute for Christmas 🎄 gifts. Well any time of the year, but with Christmas being one of the most expensive times of the year I say it's the best time 😁

Can you do a quick video on how you did the stripe? I’ve done everything I can think of and I just can’t get it right. I just love these mug rugs!❤️❤️
An easy way to make the fringe is wrap around a credit card lengthwise, then snip one edge ❤

Can i use the pattern for a macrane crochet floor rug....
Amazing
Nice work
Like the special touch of using a wire brush for the fringe. Thanks for making and sharing your tutorial...
It’s the moss stitch I believe is what you call that stitch.
Imma make this 100x bigger and have a massive rug for my bedroom :)
👏👍
Love it! Thank you, I am in need of a project I can do quicker than a blanket at the moment. This seems perfect and it looks so cute!!
Hi your coaster are beautiful!!! What is the name of the brown colour you used?
I like your mug rug stitch. How many chain stitches to start a place mat with that stitch. Please answer. Thanks Rita
Sou iniciante no crochê e vou tentar fazer junto com você. Obrigada !
how did you do the stripes? i tried it and mines look nothing like yours please help!
❤
Very nice design and appreciate adding a new stitch to my repertoire. I just wish you stated how many rows were crocheted for the finished project. Yes, one can measure, but it helps to have a row count to shoot for. Also, my finished mug rug tends to curl up at both ends. I made sure I chained one at each row end and counted to make sure I had 18 stitches from row 2 and on. So why is mine curling at the edges?
What yarn did you use?
Hello , could u please tell me how many rows u did to make your square? Thank u
Hi can i use dk cotton yarn for this
How big would you do a chain for a matching placemat set?
The stitch you don't know the name of basically starts as it'll be a single crochet but ends in a half double crochet. So in my opinion, it can be considered a half double crochet. The only difference is the way you insert your hook. I did mine by alternating between single crochet and half double crochet (the normal one) and it turned out really nice too. Also it'll be nice if you mention what crochet you ended your pattern with single? Or your made-up half double? The design is really cute btw! Imma make a few of those

@@CJDesignblogI know :) I meant if you ended your project with a single crochet round? Or with the other one? Or it doesn't matter as long as the size is right?
I do believe that stitch is an extended half double but I could be wrong xx
Came across your channel and love your patterns and easy explanations. The chain row always comes out a bit tighter than the other rows. Should I chain a bit looser or use a larger crochet hook for the first row ?
@CJDesignblog

Start your chain a bit looser ☺️

Жыл бұрын
Try using a hook a size larger (ie use a 5.5mm for chain & a 5mm for the rest of the project) or what I do is do a chainless foundation stitch. Depending on what stitch is used you can replace it with a chainless foundation stitch. So instead of doing a chain & the first row of single/half double/double crochet, do a "chainless single/half double/double crochet stitch" (YT search it, heaps of tutorials). Once you get the hang of it you'll never go back! Fantastic for things like jumpers or blankets/afghans as you don't get that tight chain row, it's "stretchy" like the rest of your project 😃 I use it for 99% of all of my crochet projects!!
So you are going thru the single crochet loop. Right?
