🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on KZread yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

I thought you might mention that if you alternate pack post with front post, you get a lovely, stretchy rib
Thank you this explains it perfectly! Thank you also for making this a 5 minute video rather than a 20 minute one with an endless intro. :P

That would look lovely as a cowl, with lil buttons to fasten or decorate the up/downy sections.. (I've done that stitch, but only by accident when I was learning how to adjust height of stitches 😅)

I have had so much trouble trying to read which stitch was next until I saw this. I quit a project using the post stitches (which I l love) because I was unsure of myself. After seeing your video I can’t wait to get back to it.

Thanks Robin! It’s my favourite stitches to work with. Currently busy with an entire Afghan with alternating fpdc and bpdc diamonds so it looks the same on either side 😊

Hey Robin, I was just wondering if you could do a video on to make an actual blanket using front and back post stich. I'd love to make one but don't know how to start.
Hi Robyn I hope you are well. Question. when you do the fpdc does the post or the hook face you and does the post stitch face away or towards you. Thank you.
COOL BEANZZZ! Do you have a beginner friendly throw pattern that I can use with Red Heart Soft 5.5 needle??? TIA HAGD😁👍
What hook are you using?
Hi Robin would it be possible to post a left handed version of this tutorial please?

Hi Shirley, I can’t remember off the top of my head - I am sorry(brain still in moving house zone.🫣). Use whichever hook size is recommended on your chosen yarn though. I hope that helps.😃
